Runaway Signs

Bought for Sign Study
I'm a Pre-K teacher using Creative Curriculum. I bought this book to go with the Signs Study. It's perfect. They really should try to make a deal with this author to have it included in the books that go with the study. It has tons of road signs, it says or eludes to what the signs mean, and shows in a humorous way what would happen if there were no signs. I recommend it for any preschool to first grade teacher, but if you're doing the sign study I'd call it a must.

Fun
My 4 year old loves all things vehicle related so he loves this book. We originally got it from the library but he asked me to read it so much that I got us our own copy.

Sweet little book
This is a sweet little book about the jobs of road signs and how bad and chaotic it would be without them.

A Delightful and Hilarious Journey!
I have purchased this book for all my nieces and nephews! The kids love tracking all the characters and the humor and wit make it a fun family read! WE LOVE Alison Farrell's drawings and sense of humor. So many kinds of kids and families are represented so all kids can see themselves in this book. Highly Recommend!

Unique Idea for a Picture Book
It’s the last day of school and the Children Crossing sign is getting a bit jealous and underappreciated watching all the kids talk on the way home about what they are going to do during the summer. So they have an idea – they will go on vacation too! As they start their journey to Adventureland Children-Crossing signs passes by all sorts of other signs and convince them to take a vacation too. All of a sudden the Stop signs, Construction signs, Wrong Way signs and many others aren’t there to do their job causing major headaches for the people. The colors in the book are predominantly happy summer colors – the sky is blue and the weather is lovely. The fun part about the illustrations is they include call-outs of conversations from the signs saying phrases like “Who wants to ride a roller coaster?” or the Be Alert for Bear sign saying a vacation is a “Beary Good Idea.”The book is a humorous way to introduce children to different signs and the importance of following them. It also can provide opportunities for discussing responsibilities that we each may have.
