Soft, absorbent, easy care 1st several months; then lose their softness.
As soon as I felt these towels, I wanted to swaddle myself in them like a itty bitty baby. I cannot recall feeling anything as soft and cozy since I touched a baby's soft blankie or the underbelly of a newborn puppy. These towels are absolutely AWWW MAYYYY ZEEEENG .... ~_~ ~_~ ... And because they do dry rather quickly, I think I can actually get by with two, which I'm happy for because they are rather expensive. I could only find one other towel that had 70% bamboo. The rest are around 30-50% bamboo/cotton. These do seem to get more soft with each wash and do be mindful of the wash instructions, which excludes fabric softener, etc.. Unbeknownst to me, all these years, I've been putting softener in my egyption cotton. I've only washed them once and did have some threads I needed to carefully snip away. The corner of my towel fell in my kitty's water bowl and I was pleasantly amazed at how much of the water it soaked up and as well, pleased with how quickly it dried .. within about a day and 1/2. It also towel dried my hair much better than my 10 year old egyptian cotton towels have been doing. I like these so much I am buying these as gifts for Christmas ~_~. I'm surprised there are only 10 reviews thus far.8.2.17 UpdateDowngrade 5 to 3: Softness that was so very appealing has totally vanished & the edges at both ends have curled by ~2" even tho my launder care has been diligent (cold/extra lo with wool dryer balls). Softness maybe lasted 12-18 months. Now they are simply too rough to use for after shower/bath drying. I have gone back to my Costco Egyptian bath sheets, which were purchased years earlier and they have remained soft & more enjoyable to use. As budget permits, I will stick with Egyptian cotton or find an alternate bamboo bath sheet. Thankful I only purchased 2 towels and 5 hand towels (3 for down; 2 for up) which did serve me totally well since they are bamboo. Now using the bath towels as hand towels.

Great feel, odor free but concerns on craftsmanship
The expectation of a $40 towel are pretty high. I order these specifically because they are made from bamboo which resist smells and feels very nice on the skin . In this area this towel lives up to the expectation. Once you wash the towels they become extremely soft yet they are very heavy and soak up a lot of water when you're drying off after a shower. They certainly feel extremely luxurious and I can't imagine going to a lighter weight towel ever again. On the other hand there are two areas of concern I have with these towels. The color it's not exactly white it's more of a yellow-ish color like the teeth of someone who smokes. The color isn't that bad it's easy to get used to but it's not white if you are trying to coordinate all of the colors within your bathroom. For me the benefits of the bamboo and the heavy weight of the towels easily outweigh the slight yellowish color. The other area of concern is in the quality of the craftsmanship. I purchased two of these towels and both of them arrived with loose thread along the edges of the towel and a few loose threads within the towels himself. I followed the detailed instructions on how to properly wash the towels and the loose threads are still there so I use very small scissors to carefully trim them. I have now have the towels for just over two weeks and have not seen any issues in the quality due to these loose thread, but only time will tell. At $40 a towel I do expect better craftsmanship. So the question comes down to are the towels really worth $40 each? The craftsmanship issue does bother me, but the material of the towels, how they feel, how heavy they are and how they resist any smell makes the answer a yes. I'll probably order more of these within the next few months for my other bathrooms and I will also try the smaller towels. I do hope the craftsmanship is improved by then but overall I am happy with the towels.

Soft and Absorbent, not as green as you may want to believe.
if you like silky soft towels, this is it... after a few washes the fluff and absorbency seems to improve a bit as well. so this product delivers on the advertised features of soft, plush and absorbent. but beware, if you are thinking this is a 'green' product due to the bamboo content, there is more to the story than that. Bamboo serves as the source of cellulose for the industrial process that produces vicose, (look it up) . The standard process for viscose production uses sodium hydroxide (also used in cotton processing) and carbon disulfide to dissolve the cellulose pulp, which is then spun into fibers after further treatment with sulfuric acid. The waste from this process must be disposed of properly to prevent damage to the environment.so 1 thumb up for the use of bamboo vs wood pulp, but definitely don't be greenwashed into thinking this product is without environmental burden. Just like anything else.

Inferior quality vs previous order
I've used two of these towels exclusively for the past four years and they've been amazing. Expensive, but worth the money.I ordered two new ones recently and there seems to be a difference in the materials vs those from four years ago. The newer towels shed a wispy, fibrous stringy-lint that is extremely obnoxious. It clings to other garments in the drier and needs to be picked off by hand -- lint roller wasn't good enough. The towels themselves are still heavy, soft, and absorbent. If you're careful not to wash them with anything else (NO BED SHEETS, NO T-SHIRTS, ETC) they are still good towels..... but a bit of a hassle to deal with.

Soft & fluffy spa-like towels!
My husband and I really like these towels. They are soft & fluffy and I do love that they are made mainly from bamboo which is environmentally beneficial, and don’t get mildewy odor like towels made from other fibers do. I also like that they are ribbed (for my pleasure, lol!). They do feel very spa-like to me (probably due to a combo of the natural color which as others mentioned has a slight yellowish tinge to the beigey-cream color and the luxurious soft ribbing). I only wish they were slightly longer but as is they are pretty nice and I’ve been using them for a couple weeks now - thanks for offering these.
