I was able to successfully seal a number of bags and also do a lot of commercial shrink wrapping work with the Innovate Products Sealer.You have to wait and make sure the sealer is hot before you slide from left to right... When it has the right heat it will SEAL AND CUT the plastic at the SAME TIME which is what you want to have happen as you slide it across the plastic you are working on.Yes... This product works as described... You need to concentrate to get the sealing mouth of the product AROUND the plastic you want to seal since the sealing mouth area is a little thin/tight ... Unlike other hand held sealers that have a BIG mouth to allow you to approach the plastic to seal with relaxed ease. Does an ok job, but took a lot of practice, especially to get a clean line. For thicker plastic bags i sometimes have to go a lot slower and/or swipe through an extra 1-2 times. Would have liked it more if it was longer too, so i didn't have to cut some of my bags down first.

I was trying to get around spending the money for a vacuum sealer so I purchased this instead. I was maybe able to make it work once but it was very difficult to get the sealer across the entire bag opening without having to start and stop. Maybe I was doing something wrong but I really don't think it should be that difficult. I ended up using the baggies it comes with for various things, but this stupid thing is just attached to the side of my fridge because it's useless but I can't bring myself to throw it away.It's a good concept but doesn't heat up properly or slide easily and the little blade on the other side snags.

What a GREAT device! I had one of these over 15 years ago and it died on me years ago. For the longest time I loked but never found another, then they started poping up everywhere. Naturaly I came to Amazon to take advantage of my Prime account. Thisone is so much better then the original! Works perfect, once you have the feel for the heat you can zip right through the bags.

Battery cover does not fit 100% well.also magnetic holder seems a bit weak.

Hard to get a complete seal in one swipe. Must do multiple times.

This product was terrible. It tore the bags instead of heat sealed them and if I did manage to get a heat seal, it almost immediately broke open with the slightest tug. I really see no use for it. I intended to return it to Amazon but just got frustrated and ended up throwing it away. Don't waste your time.
