Cece Loves Science

I can't love this book more if I tried. So happy to see more kids books coming out that offer mixed race kids and kids of color in general, covering topics of science, and encouraging girls in STEM.Get this book for any kid in your life! It was written extremely well and the artwork is gorgeous. It supports asking questions, finding different solutions, & thinking outside the box.

I bought this and the book, Ada Twist Scientist, as books to read at career day for my son's kindergarten class. My son and I chose Ada Twist to read, but we both enjoyed the book. This book was a bit longer and not as funny for kindergarteners. It simplifies the scientific method and has her asking why and doing a simple experiment on her dog. With they're would have been more humor in the writing and explanation of the experiment. It was too straight forward for kids. Science can be funny, but it misses this, then just says scientists have fun finding the answers at the end. Wish the kids in the book would've had more fun in the process. It presents scientists in a good light, while the other book presents scientists as nuisances or mess creators, which is one reason this book is better, but probably best for end of first grade or second grade.

Super cute book I got for my littler one near me! Her nickname is Cece but she is just a baby still. Her older sister likes the book. 2.5 years old. We love to read and it’s okay if she doesn’t sit still the whole time. Exposure to new reads is always great!

My second grade daughter's book club read it and really enjoyed it. Some "big words", but great opportunity to talk about concepts that they are studying in science class already.

My daughter has been asking for this book on repeat. She’s six - I think we’ll be reading this book for the next few years. It’s darling and such an important message.

Love this book and how it shows her parents are an interracial couple. Beautiful illustrations and great book for learning about science and coming up with ideas for a science fair project.

A fun way to look at the exploratory process in science :)

Too wordy. Lots of 'then so and so said, then so and so said and then so and so said' kind of paragraphs. Boring storyline.

My daughter loves this book.

Granddaughter loves all the Cece books. Wish there were more books about other scientific processes
