Good tips
This was a good overview /explanation of intuitive eating. I really enjoyed the discussion at the end about body love vs. body respect. It also contains a great section about mindful eating and the difference between the two.I did not give it 5 stars because it needs a good editing. It is redundant and contains many typos (which I find distracting). It is obvious that this was a collection of blog posts consolidated into a book. There's nothing wrong with that in general but a good editing will make the information flow together better as a book.

Great Idea, Needs Editing
I like the idea behind this book. However the editing and grammar are a mess. It feels like an online blog hurriedly changed into a book. Some things are repeated uselessly while other times words are missing altogether. You can figure out the message using context, but still.I also would have liked to see more evidence and examples of the principles included with this book. However, I did learn from this book and it engaged me enough to want to continue to learn about eating intuitively.

Lacking in substance
There were some good points, but it read like someone had just complied a bunch of blog articles and papets on the subject and made a pdf about it. Lots of repeated information, lack of citations, references to articles and blogposts just further the feeling that this may joy be a reputable source. It means well, and is a quick read (but only because its the same information over and over and over again). I might recommend a chapter but not the whole book.

Interesting for Today
Toward the end, it felt as if the author was tired of writing. The concepts presented were interesting and attainable. The cons of intuitive were presented with Grace. The book was encouraging.

Not an intuitive eating book, just another diet book
So disappointed, book starts out great but quickly it changes into a book that explains rules from other diet books, as it's own under the guise of good information. So misleading, this book refers to being a healthy weight, choosing healthy food over other foods, using small plates to trick yourself into eating less or how to be thin repeatedly, gives tips on restrictive techniques etc. Not what intuitive eating is really about. Do not recommend for ANYONE really wanting to listen to your own body and being happy with yourself. I will never diet again and this book doesn't help with the shame and guilt we are all trying to put to rest.

No More Dieting
I have been on so many diets before and never kept the weight of with out gaining it back. I'm so tried of restrictions on what food's to eat. I have never heard of Intuitive eating before but after I read the book it made since about the diet industry. I'm so glad I decided to read this book. To know that I can say no to diets and start eating foods again without guilt. To learn to listen to my body when it is hungry and when it's full. Most of all to say no to diets.

Very informative. I was searching for The Weight Down Diet by Gwen S. when this popped up. Its basically the same principal, 'eat only when you're hungry, stop when you're full'. Its common sense eating, unfortunately common sense flies out the window when eating is connected to more than saitaty. It's going to take more than paying attention to the feeling of hunger to help me and most people. Maybe wearing a cowbell around my neck to remind me that 'Im intuitively eating' will help. Good luck people.
I was looking for the Weigh Down diet by Gwen S. when this popped up. Basically its the same principles, 'eat only when hungry, stop when full." Unfortunately me and most people will need more than common sense when eating is tied up into more things than hunger- for example, I eat because I like eating. I'd need a cowbell around my neck to remind me that Im only suspose to eat when Im hungry. Its a long, rocky, road people. Good wishes.

Not the “official” IE book
Originally mistook this book for the official intuitive eating book that is actually written by Tribole and Resch (my mistake), but gave it a try. It appears to be a compilation of blog posts including some that I have already read for free off of Pinterest. It also jumps around from topic to topic with no natural flow (talks about IE for raising children in one chapter then randomly the topic comes up again in another). Also is repetitive without going deep enough, and has many grammatical errors that make it sometimes difficult to understand certain points and tips. This book repeatedly says to check out the official book and so needless to say I have now purchased the official intuitive eating book.

Great!!
Plain speaking, easy to understand so fingers crossed. Explains all areas of IE so it doesn’t seem quite so daunting.
