LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK!! I started reading the Pack-N-Go books with my granddaughter a few years back, and now she's reading them herself! I gave a set to her teacher and she has started reading them to the classroom. These are not just for girls, they are really good for all kids!We absolutely LOVE this series! The author researches the countries well, and really knows what kids like to hear and read. We read this book as a bedtime book and just can't wait for the next in this series!! My granddaughter didn't want to stop. It's fun and intriguing adventure takes place in Australia and includes local culture, language, food and descriptions that you can easily imagine as you are taken through the mystery. Such a wonderful experience. Feels like you are right there with the kids on this exciting adventure!

Fun and educational mystery
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.I've always loved mysteries ever since I read as many Nancy Drew mysteries as I could. This book is not only a spooky mystery to solve based on Australian folklore, but also is a book about friendship and overcoming fears of new things. It also discusses/deals with racial diversity and cultural differences.Wendy grew as a character throughout the book and gained more self-confidence. This character arc deepened the story. The book is educational in a "sneaky" way--the reader gets to know facts about Australia, including customs, food, flora and fauna, and language unique to Australia. It includes facts about the country as well as a recipe and glossary of slang words.I enjoyed the friendship and family relationships in this book and found the dialogue natural. There is just the right amount of suspense to keep readers on the edge of their seats, turning pages. I enjoy when authors incorporate animals into their stories and Buzz the ranch dog made me feel more at ease during the night-time adventures.Highly recommended book if you enjoy mysteries, family, friendship, and traveling to foreign lands in your books.

Nancy Drew meets Dora the Explorer
Loved this and can't wait for the rest of the series! So cool to have relatable characters for young girls to connect with - and they can learn about different cultures while solving a fun mystery! I wish I'd had these books growing up. The writing style reminds me a bit of the Boxcar Children series - smart and educational while also being genuinely entertaining.
