Although their great hits on Motown are readily available their later hits on other labels are difficult to find in one collection. This release covers all their hits from. A wonderful album full of excellent songs.

This collection is one of very few best of's with the Four Tops (the only one?) which includes all their important songs and hits from multiple labels right up to the eighties. Of course their classic Motown singles are what the Tops are remembered for, but for those with a sense of musical history it's nice to hear what else the group had to offer (their last top 10 hit was in 1988).

This collection presents a good overview of the Four Tops career, concentrating mainly on their time at Motown, but also presenting the best tracks from their later record labels. The majority of their hits are included and the notes are excellent, although the colour of the booklet background and the very small size text make reading it a real strain on the eyes.

One could easily argue the case for five stars.There are a good few of their 'best of' albums in circulation, but this is definately the pick of them. The band still hold the record for the longest run with the original line up. The vocal arrangements are magnificent and virtually all of their main material is right here. The tracks include one or two of the greatest tracks ever recorded. If this is your scene, what more could you ask for?
