The history of this school is very important and more people from South Louisiana nedds to get informed about Sager Brown's.
It was a good book because of the history in my area. Because I am a history nut I found several pages with wrong facts. I do not think it is the writers fault for the information he put in the book. I think he was given the wrong information.

I highly recommend this book
I highly recommend this book. It is the well-researched history of Sager Brown, truly sacred ground. Its origin is a remarkable story of vision, dedication and sacrifice by a few faithful Methodists who sacrificed much to care for the most disadvantaged our society has ever produced, the orphaned children of slaves at the end of the Civil War. The adversities these remarkable people faced would make the faint of heart shrink back and give up. Though it is a historical account this book is an enjoyable read that will touch your heart and inspire you to serve those less fortunate than yourself.

Truly Sacred Ground
We as volunteers view Sager Brown as truly Sacred Ground. This is an amazing history of those gone before us and the trials and tribulations that they suffered to finally come to this wonderful place. This is a history that all volunteers to Sager need to read to make them realize this is truly a Sacred place in which to serve those in need by the many volunteers. Thank you for a wonderful book.
