My 7 year old son starting biting his nails and sucking his thumb in kindergarten. At first, we thought it was anxiety or nervousness from starting school, and maybe it started off as such, but he just continued the bad habits into the following school years. I tried a couple of bitter nail polishes from CVS and Target. None of the polishes stopped him, despite tasting terrible to me. My son somehow adapted to the bad taste by literally sucking off the polish or biting around it until he could get to his nails.I had researched several nail-biting treatments by googling around and stumbled upon this one. It was advertised for the “toughest biters”. I figured it could not hurt to try and hope it would work. As usual, when I got it, I gave the standard bitter polish a try, and it was disgusting and would stop me. But the true test was on my son’s hand. I put the basic polish on his favorite thumbnail while he slept. He had tried the other failed polishes before, so he knows what would be coming. Let’s say he is not a willing participate anymore, which is why I entered stealth mode. When he awoke, he started in on his fingers as usual, but he knew something was wrong with his thumb immediately. But, as before, he was able to work around it with a little more trouble than the previous polishes. So, I followed the directions and added another couple of bitter drops to the polish. WOW, the new polish was something to behold, it was stronger and even more gross tasting, which I did not think was possible. Feeling more confident that night, I put the polish on his favorite hand and waited for the morning. He tried to bite and got so frustrated, but he quickly switched to the other hand. BINGO! I did both hands the next night!Because the taste was so bad, day by day he figured out it would be best not to bite than to taste the polish. I put the polish on every couple of days to keep his nails tasting gross since my son is a swimmer. Even though it is waterproof, I read other reviews that it could come off with long expose to water or baths. It took a full week to start seeing results. Now it has been 6 weeks, and my son's hands no longer look horrible and his nails look healthy.Not only do his hands look wonderful, but I have also noticed that he has a little more confidence and does not look like a baby anymore with his hands in his mouth. This polish is a nail saver miracle!

I bought this product for our 5 y/o daughter that sucks her thumb. We just can't get her to stop. I found this product while trying to figure out a solution. The problem, it didn't work. We followed the instructions exactly and it just didn't work. She was sucking her thumb within an hour of application. I'm sure your wondering why I'm giving it 5 stars... The company (Magique Beauty) emailed and asked how I liked the product. I explained to them what had happened and unfortunately it didn't work. They were quick to respond to my email and they apologized for their product. He explained that some kids it just doesn't work for. With that being said he offered me a completed refund for the product (something I didn't ask for). He was answering my email and provided me a complete refund over the weekend. He (Mark) advised me to dispose of the product or give to a friend for them to try. He also asked if I would like to test a new product that they are working on. If you are on the fence on whether to try this or not. What do you have to lose? Give these guys a shot. I feel you won't be disappointed, even if it doesn't work, customer service is top notch.

Not gonna lie I used this throughout my whole childhood and this was the best flavored nail polish I’ve ever had! Such a misleading name, it should be called yes-bite. My mom wasn’t happy though. Highly recommend! 💅😀

Its probably a good product and will help some...however did not work for helping my 2 year old stop biting her nails. My daughter age 2 sometimes bites her nails till they will bleed. I thought this product would be the beginning to the end of her behavior, boy was I wrong. I tried the product on myself first and tasted it as it dried on my nails. YUCCKK! This stuff tastes absolutely horrible ! Painted the product on my two year old and oddly enough I put the tip of my tongue on her nails to see if it tasted bad again DOUBLE YUCCKK!Unluckily for me by the next hour she had her nails in her mouth like there was nothing there. It didn't bother her in the least bit. I tried again the next day and same response. If it was I with the issue of nail biting I think it would definitely deter me from nail biting. Just did not work for me on my little girl.

I am 59 years old and I have bitten my nails for nearly 50 years! Really out of boredom I ordered this product just to see if I could break this 50-year habit!When the product arrived I thought oh this is great I'm actually using nail polish! LolAnyway all joking aside, the before and after pictures show the effectiveness of this product!I followed the directions applying this product on my nails daily, for the first two days I did not bite my nails. But while I was driving I habitually tried to bite one of my nails without even realizing it!And let me tell you something, it did not take long for me to pull my hand away from my mouth! LolThis product tastes absolutely horrible! Lol! And it is an awesome deterrent to biting your nails!So if you're reading this and you're thinking that you can't quit biting your nails because you've been doing it for 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, or 40 years!Keep in mind, I have bitten my nails for 50 years! And I broke the habit in less than 2 weeks! Trust me this product works!And hats off to this company who produces this product! It works!

As you can see from my pictures, I'm a severe nail bitter. My nails have never been longer than 1cm. I was doubtful of this stuff because my parents tried something similar when I was a kid and it tasted like mustard to me and never stopped me from biting. This stuff however doesn't taste like Mustard. There is no appropriate word for how this stuff tastes, now I did add extra bitters to my polish (4 drops) and not only have I gone the first 24 hours of my life without biting my nails, the taste was so repulsive the first time, it's like shock therapy and I'm afraid to taste it again. So far I give this a 5 star and hope to share pictures of long, unbitten nails in the future to this review

Me encanto!! Súper recomendado, el producto me llego en menos de 2 semanas. Llevo 1 semana usándolo y mis uñas han crecido muchísimo, y ni hablar del sabor tan fuerte que tiene. Lo único "malo" que tiene es que al agarrar comida con los dedos el sabor se pasa y la comida te sabe amarga, pero vale totalmente la pena😁

Arrived quickly and was very easy to apply. I found that on my first application, the polish did not have enough bitter taste so for the subsequent applications I had added a few more drops of bitter to the vial. I would re-apply every 2-3 days as it tends to wear from hand washing.I would highly recommend this product as it has stopped me from nail biting for 2 months now - something I've been trying to stop for over 20 years.
