Great rain jacket
I usually wear a medium in clothing. However, to get sleeves long enough and fit well across I usually order a large in my jackets. The fit is a little loose but I will be wearing layers in the winter. I owned another marmot rain jacket similar to this one for over 15 years and I expect that this one will last just as long. Highly recommend it and the color paisley purple is very pretty and exactly as pictured. For reference, I am 5’10 and about 150 lbs.

Waterproof and breathable.
This was a steal! I have been looking for a good, Goretex parka for some time and I ran across this after a friends puppy chewed the zippers in my older Marmot parka. This new one (not really my color) beads the rain off quickly and was almost dry when I entered the house. Put zips were open so I experienced no condensation. And Marmot is a trusted name with great customer service. This parka is a win-win!

No pockets for your hands
Nice jacket, nice color. But there is only one small pocket, for a small cell phone. The lack of pockets for the hands (and for carrying stuff) is quite annoying.

Finally a jacket that performs as advertised!
This arrived perfectly timed. Last night it poured. Like, not rain but a wall of water. I couldn't see much across the street at all. Great time to test the new jacket! Well, this thing has a lot of pros. First, it looks sweet. I can get over the appearance of any jacket that does its job, but you don't have to with this one. The blue is attractive and the taped seams really stand out and look sharp. Next, it feels very nice and comfortable. The outside is smooth and not crinkly like other waterproof jackets. Inside is totally smooth, like that rip-stop material. It is much stronger than you think it is going to be. It is like paper thin, but it holds your body heat in and keeps the wind out. I didn't feel any wind from outside out all. I tested this with a fleece on because it is winter here, but normally I would need a winter jacket on top of my fleece to be outside in the rain at night. This was warm enough for me. The hood stayed in place while I walked and jogged up and down my drive-way. It moves with you and not around you. Never seems to get in the way at all. The sleeves have Velcro closures on them to keep them snug up around your wrists. The pockets and vent zippers all open smoothly, but take a little more effort than I am used to with normal zippers. This is because they are taped to keep the wind out. I am totally fine with that, it is an easy adjustment. Finally, was I dry? You bet! I was out there for almost an hour and totally dry. I hung the jacket up on our hooks from the loop nicely placed inside the thing and it was dry by the morning. Probably would have been dry in just a few hours. You only need to wipe off the outside really. You can roll this up for easy compact storage in a pack or even a suitcase for traveling. I am beyond happy with this one. It works exactly as they say it will.

It'll keep you dry! But it's not super aesthetically pleasing...
My wife is very pleased overall with this jacket. It has velcro on the wrists so that you can tighten it around your wrists to keep water out and the hood also works very well. The zipper is slightly odd... it's not a smooth zipping experience... but maybe that's some new way of making a zipper more water-resistant? No idea. The material is very thin, but not in a cheap way. It has pockets with zippers (so you can put your cell phone in there and it'll stay dry). The jackets dries quickly after use (my wife said it took about one hour to dry off). The only complaint--and it's a very mild one--is the blue color is a bit... I'm not sure how to say it exactly... it's not an attractive blue. In the photo it looks a little more stylish. In reality, it looks like a color you'd see in Toys 'R Us.Also, the fit is a little strange. Like, when she's sitting it sort of puffs out near the top of her stomach. But maybe it's just a little big for her.For all of that, however, the function of this jacket is to keep you dry in the rain and it does that very well. So, five stars... but not a "I loved it!" five stars. More of a "It does what it's supposed to do very well" five stars.

Amazing jacket
Marmot nailed this coat. It is incredibly lightweight and it packs up small so I can keep in my backpack for unexpected rainstorms. The taped seams and velcro wrists keep you dry even in a downpour, and even though it's paper thin, it kept me warm (on a temperate day) despite the constant rain. I would definitely wear something warm underneath if you are using it on a chilly day, though. The zippers aren't super easy to use because you have to fight a little with the taped edges, but it's a worthwhile trade-off to remain totally dry.I love the fit - slim and sleek, and the color is a nice addition to my wardrobe. I would say it runs a bit smaller than you might expect. The price made me pause, but after using it camping, hiking and keeping it my car for unexpected storms, I have to say it is worth it. This thing is made to last and does the job it was designed to do.

Would have like a cord in front of the cap
Very good product missing one thing..Love the colour exactly as the picture. I am 5’ length is perfect, the chest part feel a little bit tight for 36 C breast. I still can put small underneath so I keep it. But could not put a big wool sweater under. Waist is perfect fot pants size 10. The only thing missing is a cord to secure the cap around the face. There is on in the back but cap have tendency to fall backward specially if you have a poney tall. Would buy again for sure.
