Harringtons Just 6 Slow Baked Complete Grain Free Chicken and Sweet Potato Dry Dog Food, 7.5kg

I only buy Harringtons dog food after the vet advised me to put my Labrador onto fish based food for health reasons. I saw Harringtons 'just 6' whilst looking for our regular Harringtons food and decided, even though it was slightly more expensive, to give it a go. What can I say! my Labrador had her nose in the bag as soon as I opened it. I measured the recommended quantity for her evening meal and she ate the lot and continued to lick her bowl around the utility floor! I know when she really enjoys her food because if I offer her a single piece of kibble as a treat she'll take it straight from my hand, something she stopped doing until we introduced Harringtons into her life. 'Just 6' is just that, 6 high quality ingredients: salmon, sweet potato & peas, potato, rapeseed oil, vegetable stock and vitamins & minerals. Its natural, fresh, contains a higher nutritional content because it has been slow baked and contains 50% freshly prepared salmon. I care deeply for my dogs health and well being and being able to provide her with healthy, natural ingredients is important.

I bought this product in April to stock up on dry dog food for my dog. He loves this food so thought I will get a bulk order of 4 bags. To my surprise and disappointment a large amount of the food is mouldy. I checked the date on the bag and it’s best before was only June the same year 2021. There is no way my dog can eat through 4 bags in less than 3 months. As I have only just opened the first bag of 4 now, I no longer quality for a 30 day return or money back and I’m now out of pocket, with no food and I’ve had to tip it into my compost bin. It’s left me one very unhappy customer. Won’t buy it again.

I have a sensitive greyhound so always look for grain free foods, plus I do try different brands to help add variety to his life. This didn’t get my seal of approval as a fart-free choice but it is maintaining firmer stools - a bonus for the soggy bagging am I right?Ash was really pleased with this new brand and it slows him down eating as he delicately picks out the dark biscuits first then of course does clean his bowl. It’s great to find another rubbish-free dog food to add to our rotation, do give this brand a try.

Moved my dog onto Harringtons Just 6 about 4 months ago. For the last 18 months, he has had problems with his tummy & hasn't been able to digest his food properly. He has had severe bouts of diarrhoea & couldn't get his poo firm at all. Changed him onto the Just 6 as I liked the idea of limited ingredients. Since being on Just 6 , his tummy issues appear to have resolved. He loves this food & always licks his bowl clean.

I have previously used Harrington's for Toby, our Basset Hound. However, we moved (and paid more) to Tails this year as we didn't like the vast number of ingredients in the original Harringtons, and thought the simpler the better!However, I'm really tempted back with the Just 6 blend as it's slightly cheaper than Tails, and I love how it has only 6 ingredients, instead of lots of grains and other 'fillers'. Toby seems to love it too - we bought the Chicken and Sweet Potato variety, and on first impression it was gone very quickly! I guess time will tell in terms of overall preference/effect on his weight and digestion, but so far I'm very impressed.Delivery from Amazon is of course much more convenient too, especially if I order in the future as I can use subscribe and save. I believe it is slightly cheaper, however, at the supermarkets if planning to purchase in advance.

Then again, he's a retriever/poodle cross, so he's not necessarily the best judge of what he should be wolfing down! However, this choice I approve of (Unlike sandwiches or cheesy wotsits discarded under park benches, rotting deer limbs found in the wood, bird poo, etc). I bought "Just 6" when a delivery of his normal food was delayed, and he really seems to enjoy the change. Most importantly for me, this food agrees with his digestion (so many other things don't), so his stools have remained firm - a 35 kg dog with the runs is no one's idea of fun!! Whilst I'm not planning on changing his existing food (which I buy in bulk, at a better price per kg), I will definitely keep a bag or two of "Just 6" around to give him an occasional change of scene. For anyone who's not already found a dry food that works for their dog, particularly if sensitive digestion is an issue, I would definitely recommend trying this one. I've only given it 4 stars rather than 5 because my existing food is better value (for me), and also because I would prefer a resealable bag - otherwise I'd happily give it 5 stars

First time we have brought this flavoured food as our vet mentioned to try it but we really have to be careful with what our dog can have . I am so glad we did go for this she particularly loves the flavour and her bowl was empty within seconds ! Kibbles are perfect size for her especially love that its all fresh and packed to perfection! Price was fab and quantity is worth it!!!

A great dog food with all the nutrients required . Our dog loves this product and it came in a great size that was easy to decent into a small container rather then having a lot left over in the bag. He loves it and was on wet food before so tried the first day mixing with a tin but from the second day he has had this on its own and he has gulped it down .
