I found the longer extension not as sturdy for my bird feeder, so went with just the original length. That piece didn't screw to a tight fit, but left the extension crooked; but I left it a little loose to make it straight, then wrapped with black electrical tape to keep moisture out. Seems to work fine. Was what I was hoping for. . .get the bird feeder away from the deck, allowing the seed to fall on ground instead of deck, and making it harder for squirrels to jump on.

I'm agreeing with other reviews that the mounting screws supplied are inadequate. I used stainless steel screws #8 x one inch. Could use 3/4 x # 10 as an alternate. The holder as supplied due to the length will prevent most squirrels from getting to the bird feeder. However, we had one that made the journey. So, i copied another reviewer an added a stainless steel washer at the first joint and placed a 14 inch piece of 3/4 inch pvc pipe over the second bar (rod) and finished the assembly. So far that has worked. Over two months.Only problem so far is rusting at the swivel point. Would have been better to be all stainless

Really great for hanging plants, wind chimes, wind socks, etc. from your deck. It was very easy to put together and installs in just a few minutes with no tools required. I love it--have my wind chimes hanging on it now!

I got this longer pole to get out of reach of the squirrels and mostly raccoons. It works! Now if I can keep the jays from bombing my feeder and spilling the birdseed…

I was looking for a way to hang our hummingbird feeder off our deck near where I have my coffee in the morning. Our deck railing spindles are too far apart for the other kind of mount (older house), and I was a little worried whether this type of c-clamp would be secure enough. When it arrived, I was impressed with how heavy it is. Assembly is easy, but don't tighten it until you have everything lined up. The clamp is great, easy for me to secure, and easy to loosen to swing in the arm when I need to clean the feeder. Good, solid purchase.

It does work great - one caveat - if you are having to use a narrow slat, you might consider obtaining some hex nuts to replace the wing nuts that are included so you can tighten them down with a wrench. Can't get the wing nuts tight enough so when you swing it in against the railing it will tilt. Other than that, this is a super holder for bird/humming bird feeders.

These are just what I needed, attach easily and securely to my deck railing, but are no match against the bear pulling on them. :-)

Much higher quality than I was expecting. Super easy install and extra washers (for spacers) included to make sure the end of the pole lines up properly with the base. Has no issue holding my bird feeder while full. Even when full of seed and full of birds its hardly bounces when lots of birds leave at once.

Used for hummingbird feeder. Seems well made, swivel so i can fill up my feeder, now waiting for the hummingbirdfs

First time ordered this it was great. I ordered it again and they sent the wrong one, but they were very accomodating and returned my money. Very good customer service!

Threaded rods screwed together perfectly. Bolt can be tightened to hold it in place. You should use stronger screws if you want it to last but I'm using it to support a metal bird feeder with no issues.

Bought this to hang a hummingbird feeder on so it would extend past the deck. It definitely works for that purpose but it’s not especially pretty. I have other hooks that are fancy. This one is very plain. But it’s strong and it’s long
