Says suitable for 20 inch wheels - it is not.
All Pletscher kit is quality, and this is no different, the biggest issue at its shortest setting this is far too long for a 20" wheeled bike, the main shaft is aluminium so it is easy enough to cut down with a hacksaw, but for some one not inclined to do that, don't buy for a 20" bike - other wise you can feel this is a quality item, sturdy and with a really strong spring and positive action, stainless steel fittings as wheel, this will last for ever.

Excellent piece of kit.
After buying and fitting this, I wonder why for so long I had not got one of these, always having to prop up the bike against something or lay it down anytime I stepped off it for a moment. Unless you are racing and have to watch every gram of weight, it's a no-brainer. The bike is very stable with this stay, but avoid slopes. One thing I would note - I carelessly managed to pull off the plastic foot, I could only get it back on by heating it to make it pliable. This time I glued it back on, I would advise you to glue it on as soon as you get it.

Sturdy, but!
Good quality, sturdy kickstand. However, on installation I had to shorten the stand by hacksawing of 1cm. Once installed it worked fine until I got onto forest trails now it keeps falling down, so I have to now strap it up while riding, not ideal.

Great sturdy stand - bought for a Halfords bike.
We'd just bought a Halfords Carrera Crossfire 2 Women's bike (with disc brakes) and wanted a sturdy stand for it, and Halfords didn't sell one. They recommended this, which is great. The frame near the back wheel has a flat area behind the frame (the wheel side of the bar) with two holes in it, and the stand fits there snugly. The description for this stand says it comes with two screws (bolts) but it is also reassuring to discover that the two holes in the stand itself (for the bolts) are threaded which makes fitting easy with a suitable Allen Key.

Best for heavy EBikes
I have used cheaper kickstand from amazon but those weren't good for my heavy Ebike and got broke only after few days of usage. But, this stand is not comparable with cheaper because you can easily feel the difference on first sight. Simply, Perfect for heavy bikes.

Great kickstand let down by tiny bolt
If you need to make the stand longer than the default then the entire weight of the bike (max 50kgs as they say) will rest on a tiny 3mm grub bolt. See picture of other reviewer where the rubber foot came off. You can see the bolt sticking out. I also managed to strip the thread on the bolt as I had no confidence in it holding. They say torque on the bolt should be 4.3nm. How on earth is one supposed to measure that on such a tiny bolt?Edit: Said bolt that I managed to keep in place has now failed completely. Bike falls over. Down to one star

It's great value, but falls short of perfection.
Unfortunately the spring that keeps the stand in the up position it not strong enough. Basically it's bouncing around making noise when you ride on anything apart from super smooth tarmac, very annoying.
