Update after one year - Hope for the best and expect the worst, as they say. As expected, the latch needs replacing before one year has passed. I have tried adjusting and lubricating but the knob is hard to turn and sticks. Cheap junk.Replacing two wood screen doors on a sun porch and bought two of these handles. They look decent and had better than average reviews. However, the parts are made with very thin, soft metal so I do not expect this knob set will last very long. When assembled the action is very rough. Hopefully it will smooth out with a bit of use and not self destruct.The kit is supposed to fit doors from 7/8 to 1-3/8 thick. My door is 1-1/8 thick and, with the spindle centered, the lever side knob would not thread on far enough. I had to grind off a bit over 1/8 inch to get the lever to thread on properly.

Since this was installed it hasn't really worked well. The knob stays in the turned position unlike my last one that would spring back. Because of this it doesn't open and close properly and just overall downgraded the door.

I buy a lot of historic reproduction hardware for our 1910's home. So far, this has been one of the highest quality pieces of restoration hardware! We were very happy with the level of quality of this hardware, especially for the price paid. It came packaged very well and with very easy installation instructions.

I've installed many of these over the years. They're sold under different brand names, but they're all pretty much the same. The only difference is that this one is black, as opposed to the usual brass. Don't be expecting the strength and durability of doorknob assembly made for the main door; these are designed for storm doors. All of that said, I was very happy with this and would buy it again.

Got this for an interior door on a very old home, matches the decor and works great. Two things to note: 1) make sure to lubricate it and 2) take your time with the drilling and alignment. If the holes are not lined up properly and the handle rod is off even by a couple of millimeters then it will bind. There is some room for fine tuning, but this will work a lot better if you take your time and get the holes perfect from the start.

It was not hard to instal on my wooden screen door. It is a very simple design and works effectively. Due to its size it does not feel extremely sturdy but It has been several months and has worked fine except for one of the set screws backing out frequently. It has not been a problem to just adjust it back and I may use some Teflon tape to see if that will help it remain in place.

Looks good but the spring inside the knob doesn't uncoil so it doesn't open and close when twisting the inside handle. But I have a bottom slide latch to keep the door lock so I'm ok with it.

Install on a old round top wooden storm door. Easy to install I used a heavier latch plate. So far works great
