Brown Owl: 1 (Read and Rhyme with Brown Owl)

This book is great for young children. Cleverly written in a rhyming way and some nice simple illustrations. There is another book in the series called Brown Owl at the Zoo that continues in the same way.

Lovely book and story with beautiful illustrations, particularly good for those starting to read as well as to read to younger ones.

Habe das Buch für meine Tochter bestellt. Mit ihren Volksschul-Englischkenntnissen kann sie die Bedeutung der Reime mithilfe der Bilder schon ganz gut erfassen.Ich finde die Farbpalette, in der sich die Illustration bewegt, sehr gelungen und mir gefällt der durchgängig eigene, klare Stil. Die Reime klingen „rund“ und gehen sofort ins Ohr.Text und Bild ergeben eine Einheit und haben die Charaktere liebevoll herausgearbeitet.Auf der letzten Seite sind die im Buch vorkommenden Figuren und Gegenstände noch einmal extra mit dem englischen Begriff abgebildet.Freue mich auf Band 2!

My kids are raised speaking mainly German. I try and read simple English books to them - as a fun way to teach them some English. My kids love the Brown Owl books and we're reading them frequently. I try to speak with them about the story - the plot is great and simple to retell for kids - to get them to not only hear, but also speak English. I thoroughly recommend this book!

An sich ein schönes Buch für Kinder jeden Alters. Schöne Reime, nur die Bilder sind zwar ok, aber wenn da längs striche überall sind, denkt man das es da regnet...ansonsten schön. Ich les es meinen 10 Wochen jungen Sohn vor und er hört gespannt zu

Lovely little children’s book! Brown Owl introduces his friends and family - all wonderfully illustrated and with a personality of their own. I think my favourite character is brown owl’s granny! My order came very quickly and is of good quality.
