DakineBaja Tie Down Straps - 12'

This is the second set I've bought. They are the BEST STRAPS EVER. Super durable, strong, quality materials and easy to use. I use them to tie down 3 surfboards and 1 standup paddle board on the top of my Tacoma and they work perfectly every time. They never loosen or slip. The padding under the buckle is great and protects my boards from the buckle itself. I like how wide the straps are too. Highly recommend them. You can't go wrong with Dakine.

Da Kine is a saying in Hawaii used (among other ways) to say something is great. If somebody tells you that this or that is da kine, brah, you can take that as high praise and a solid recommendation. These straps are definitely da kine! Seriously, after using these I would use nothing else. Once you figure out how to run the strap through the buckle by lifting up the protective sheath from underneath - you can head down the road with your boards and feel confident they will get to the beach no problem, even if that beach is way down the freeway or off some bumpy back road. I use these to strap two 11 foot SUP's to my van's roof rack and I smile every time I pull them tight. They are 100% awesome, and that protective sheath is a great touch. I really didn't recognize Da Kine as being much more than another brand name for surf gear - but now I know - they make top quality products, products you can trust with your precious surf gear. Buy these and never sweat your boards flying off of your car again.

Across the board these by far are the best I’ve owned. They don’t slip, width and great length. Better than Thule. I use them everyday in Hawaii and definitely recommend.

Just used my 12’ Dakine tie down straps to secure my 10.6 SUP to roof racks. Worked beautifully. Durable, easy to use and neoprene buckle cover protected my board from scratches. Traveled at 65mph and no vibration/whistling if you put a twist in the strap. Board didn’t budge. Would buy again!

These straps are great, so sturdy and easy to use. Takes about 2 minutes to tie a surfboard down and less to take it off. Buy these!

I use these to strap my surfboard to the roof of my car. these are fantastic! the ones i had before these, i couldn't get tight enough. i had to stop on the side of the freeway to retighten them. however, with the dakine straps, i can get so much more leverage and get them so much tighter, with almost no effort. they hold my board down nice and secure. these are awesome!

Everything is great about this system if you like pull throughs. The quality and durability are there. The neoprene padding works extremely well. However, it's one piece pull through, so you have to fish 12' of strap through your roof racks and up over your board while keeping the locking part straight and in one place. Translation: you're running around your vehicle trying to get this thing latched up. Since it's a pull through and not a ratchet strap system, you can only get it so tight. I have a Yukon so there is a lot of reaching, stretching, pulling, and jumping on and off my bumper half a dozen times. LolIt's totally my fault for not paying closer attention when buying this, but I would have much rathered a 2 piece ratchet strap system that joins in the middle and ratchets really tight with minimal effort.

Love these straps. Super easy to use and held the board secure. Drove for six hours at highway speed and they didn’t loosen at all. Really pleased with them!
