PILOTJuice 0.5mm Gel Ink Ball Point Pen, Grape (LJU-10EF-GR)

See my review of the Zebra, grey ink, pen.Because the Zebra pen I ordered with grey ink skipped badly, I ordered TWO of the Pilot Juice pens with grey ink. After I received them I tested them by drawing large boxes on Stratford sketchbook paper. They both skipped. I have continued to use both pens with only a little improvement in the ink flow. I use them for drawing, taking notes, doodles, and outlining long documents. They continue to skip.Now I think the problem is the grey ink. I really like the grey ink, although my wife says it is hard to read. But the ink pens don’t seem to work with grey ink. Bah! She wins again.

Writes very smoothly. It doesn't smudge at all on standard printer paper, but takes awhile to dry on Leuchtturm 1917 paper. Do not attempt to write over this pen with Tombow markers or other water based markers, as it smudges and 'erases' the pen (see top swatch that says "WORD"). It layers fine on top of marker, just not under it (see bottom swatch "WORD", which is layered on top of marker). Overall, writes very nicely if you are careful.

I have a good variety of the Pilot Juice pens. I’m a little obsessive with the colors, that the colors represent a color code, and by writing with the LEAF GREEN, I use it as a “phantom” color, a color below the darkness of the main color to comment a little past the point. The LEAF GREEN is below the darkness of the main green, but light enough to make a difference, and not too light that I can’t see it. The best part of the great pens, outside the smooth writing, is the variety of the shades of the colors. I have never had any problems with the PILOT JUICE pens, and have been able to find the colors that I want. GREAT PENS.

I was very disappointed, it wasn't a bright yellow as I thought it would be, it's very dull actually, disappointed

This pen is a great true yellow. I looked all over to find a pen that wasn't pastel or neon that I could use in my adult coloring books, and this is it! My only complaint is that the fine point isn't ideal for coloring; I wish I could find this same pen with a .8 or 1.0 mm tip for a decent price. But the color is the best yellow I've found!

The color is perfect for my needs, but the ink bleeds. I don’t advise using this for any papers you have to turn in or present.

I am that one person that likes writing in pencil but don't like that the pencil smears. This pen is my favorite. It is not the metallic pen if that's what you are looking for, it's just light gray.

This is a really nice, deep shade of purple and the pen writes really smoothly. It has a good weight, comfortable grip, and it has a spring loaded clip that's fun to play with and convenient to clip the pen onto things.

When I first received it, it was VERY streaky and not smooth at all. Railroaded whenever I drew a straight line somewhat quickly. But after I wrote with it a little it became a lot better. Not the smoothest pen I've ever used though. I also dislike the small rattling sound it makes when writing (because of the clicking part on the back). Colour is also more of a cool grey.

I love the colour. I use this colour when I write additional info or examples, and it is perfect. It does not bleed at all, and the soft colour makes your note-taking easier and colourful.I recommend it for students

I just love these pen. They are the best pen I've ever used, I like them even more than pilot g2's. Just don't drop them on the tip because that will ruin your 4 dollars faster than the speed required to time travel.

Too scratchy for me.Very fine though. Which is great for math. But I have used better fine pens. Recommend the Pilot Hi-Tec-C Maica 0.4
