I looked for months for a dress for my sons wedding at a lake resort. I love Alex Evening Petites. Always fits well and comfortably without any alterations. This dress with jacket is a perfect fall color, well made and came super fast.

I ordered this dress with jacket to wear as a guest to a formal wedding. When I saw it on the website I thought this would be made from a knit fabric although I now realize it is not described that way. Something about the photo just made me assume that’s what it would be. I did not care for the fabric that the outfit is made from. Nothing wrong, just not what I was expecting. It is thinner than what I was hoping for. The eggplant color itself is pretty. I tried it on and I liked the streamlined look of the jacket over the dress and the jeweled embellishments around the neck opening. I ordered a size down from what I normally wear as the previous reviews noted that the dress is a tad on the larger side and I found that to be true because the size down was a good fit. Overall, a pretty outfit but not for me. I returned my order on this one.

This is a lovely shade of eggplant. It "feels" expensive, is well-made. However, my sis-in-law was unable to attend my son's wedding... THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR RETURN FOR 30+ DAYS- EVEN IF RETURNED PERFECTLY, ON-TIME, ETC!

This will be my dress for a niece’s winter wedding. It’s what I wanted. Only drawback is the center front of the dress’s neckline doesn’t lie flat and I’m not quite sure what alteration will help. If you are thinking of taking this on a cruise, it may be a bit heavy to pack, though you’ll look great on dress up nights.

I searched & searched for a dress for my son's wedding! I needed something simple for an outside, early evening wedding in July's brutal heat. I liked this dress because: It was long enough but not ankle-length. It had 3/4 length sleeves which was good for me since I am old. The chest was too big for me but I took the straps up about 3 inches and the top draped very nicely. The material did not wrinkle. I did not like the sequin beaded trim so I painstakingly removed it with a seam ripper. (I tested the removal on the back of the dress first so it would be covered up if removing the trim was a mistake)! It was just too much bling for me!! Overall, it was a bit of work but I was very happy with the dress!

Am upset to see that the dress has been on a hanger since 2019. Am reading reviews that go that far back.I was under the impression that the dress was new to the market! Have not tried it on as yet! Disappointed.

I bought this for my Grandmother who needed it asap for an unexpected funeral on her trip. It is so dainty and beautiful with very nice embellishments. She got so many compliments and looked classy and elegant.

I am 5'3", 165 lbs, and thick wasted. 42 bust, 36 waist, and 40 hips. According to the size chart, I should have ordered the 16 or 14 plus/wide, but I didn't. I read all of the reviews that said the top was generous and the fabric forgiving. I took that advice and sized down to the standard 14. I am grateful that I did. The drape is nice. This dress is elegant, current for the times, comfortable, and can easily go from church to evening wear. This is for an upcoming wedding guest dress.
