Tina Turner: One Last Time Live In Concert Wembley Stadium [DVD]

Tina Turner Last Female at Old Wembley Stadium
I have watched the DVD of Tina's Farewell Tour,"one Last Time" so many times I have just about worn it out.I find it very fitting that she chose Wembley Stadium to film her concert for DVD release since the London fans are the ones who have stuck by her through thick and thin.I also feel it is fitting that she was the last female performer to perform there at the Old Wembley Stadium.Wouldn't it be so nice if she would do a Special concert in the New Wembley Stadium, and I know she would have a SELL OUT!!I rate this DVD 10 stars,as it shows TINA at her Best, even at age 60,and going out in style. It definately explains why she has sold more concert tickets than any other female artist.I can only guess that Madonna would come in 2nd.I see some of the fans reviews here are of people who actually attended the shows in London.I am sure it is a very good keepsake of your good time at the show.Did everyone notice that the Goodyear Blimp was there to capture some fabulous overhead shots?I still can't get over how she can perform for so long in stilettos.I have all of her concerts on DVD and love them all,but love this one the BEST....Has anyone else noticed that TINA is about the only performer that has released every one of her World Tour concerts on DVD or VHS,even the ones before her major comeback.I hope we get to see TINA rock on even in her 70's.I see where she rocked London earlier this year for a fundraiser and blew the roof off with her stellar performance.

Tina Turner - One Last Time -DVD
In common with the Rolling Stones, who somehow also just keep on rocking, Tina Turner in this DVD is about as subtle as Mike Tyson., or an Apache gunship. As most fans will realize, from subsequent performances at various venues and awards ceremonies, this DVD is certainly NOT Tina Turner's last concert. However it is a master class by one of the world's greatest black female singers capable of belting out music from deep within their very souls. When watching this DVD it's difficult to believe that Tina was actually born in the first year of WWII,1939.Listening to her 2000 rendition of Nutbush City Limits, arguably her first solo release in 1973, it's incomprehensible that many white radio stations simply would not then give it air time. But, more than three decades later,Tina demonstrates just how powerful she remains - and how powerful she was then. She simply blows away the countless "blonde, blue eyed, bubble gum, girl singers" who have risen to fame and faded during her long reign. When push comes to shove this is "must have" collector's DVD for any serious broad minded music lover. If a cross genre definitive history of popular twentieth century music is ever written then surely Tina Turner must be in the echelons of greatness alongside Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, Elvis, and Michael Jackson.Buy this DVD and savor a truly genuine diva in action - but beware, Tina has certainly not reached pensioner status gracefully!
