Super effective!
I have tried other toothbrushes that are dual-ended and have soft bristles and even non-dual-ended brushes. I tried 3 brands including the super popular Duke's and Pet Dentist (see my review on this one - horrible!). I have a Westie (btw, I think it's so important to tell other people what type of dog one has...it's so much more informative when reviewing certain products - my two centavos). After using this toothbrush, I can honestly say it is THE BEST I have tried thus far. I normally don't like to leave reviews unless the product is super fab or the product is so bad that I have to warn other people about it. The bristles are on the medium side ( I can see how it is deemed as hard esp for the smaller dogs) but when I spoke with my own dental hygienist who owns his own big dog (I think some kind of a pit mix or shepard mix....not sure), he says soft bristles are useless. You have to brush tartar and plaque off. So soft bristles won't do the job. He actually said hard bristles are best but even I had to hold back on my Westie and not use what he gave me. But I can hear the difference when I brush his teeth and I see the difference. (Yes hear the difference bc the sound made is different from soft vs med brushing.) The "ergonomic" design is actually quite nice and helps me out with providing more comfort when I have to grip. My hand is getting bad bc of repetitive computer motions so this soft grip is super nice.I truly recommend this product. Oh and that red strip is a bit raised so if you have "harder to reach places" (i.e. between teeth), that little bump will get in there. Both sides have them. I use the smaller head to brush the smaller teeny teeth my baby has next to his canines (you know...those rows of tiny teeth about 3 or 4).I hope this helps. Ask me questions if you want to know more about this product. I do wish it comes in different colors. tee hee.

Old-school flat head canine toothbrush, but works *amazingly* well! Good design, sturdy construction, annoys dogs the least.
In a quest to find the most effective dog toothbrush, I decided to buy on of each type. I am trying to find the most efficient canine toothbrush, which will clean teeth the best in the least motion, with the least annoyance to the dog (if you brush your dog's teeth, you know how important this is!). I have medium-sized dogs: a male and a female border collie.I did not expect to like this brush when I ordered it: the triple-head canine toothbrushes all seemed more efficient than a traditional flat-headed brush. As noted above, the faster I can clean all three sides of their teeth, the better (they're used to brushing, but still fidget). The Micha flat toothbrush for dogs surprised me: it was -very- effective in surface cleaning, covering the areas well and annoying the dogs very little (due to the flat-nature of the brush). Though I did have to do outside, then top/inside, the wide design made sure I easily got all the surfaces and the bristles are high-quality and you can feel the surfaces being abraded (using any canine toothpaste).Again, even compared to the triple-head brushes-- this flat-head brush out-cleans them and annoys my dogs the least. Ergonomic handle is easy to hold/grip, and there are no weak-points to break. It's also easier to clean than the triple-head brushes. Highly recommended!

The brush is comfortable to hold and the angled head is surprisingly helpful
I use this with my Boston Terriers. The brush is comfortable to hold and the angled head is surprisingly helpful. The bristles fit our needs and are probably a medium/hard. I like the dual sizes on one brush, it makes it easy to reach all his teeth.

but the flat large end is great for getting the top surface of molars
I have a 9 lb. Maltese Poodle mix with a very small mouth and tiny teeth. Needless to say, tiny jaw as well. At first I thought this toothbrush might be too big, but the flat large end is great for getting the top surface of molars. I can even angle the brush in the cheeks to brush the sides and front. The small end I use to finish up the very back teeth both top and bottom. Well worth the price, very good design!

Much better than the typical dog toothbrush
I like the shape of these doggie tooth brushes more than any other I've bought. They fit in your hand better and are easier to angle into my golden retriever's mouth. I'll definitely come back to these when I need more.

A good tooth brush for small dogs...
I'm satisfied with these brushes for my dogs weighing 8-25 lbs. The sizes and the shapes of the brush heads, the angles of the handles, the handle grips...all good. Recommend.

Easy to Use
Very helpful for folks with arthritis, and/or dogs who don't like to brush. The curvature of the brush makes it much easier to reach back teeth.
