Power Walk Through The Decades 5 DVD Set: Walk, Dance And Sweat With Hits From The 60’s To The 00’s

Does what it says on the cover
Gina has done it again!!! Have enjoyed this DVD!When you purchase this read what it says on the cover. It’s a power walk! For those who have commented saying it’s fast, well what do you expect from a power walk, a gently stroll? It is fast but then that’s to be expected, given the title. I think before you buy (given the cost) try Gina’s free 15 minute power walks on her YouTube channel, that will give you a taster. If you like them then you will like this dvd.On this dvd I would recommend starting with the 00’s. In my opinion this is the easiest decade. Next the 90’s, although, I think, its a tad rushed and not as well executed as the others, but in the third section it works you well. Then go to the 70’s, 60’s then if you really want a challenge try the 80’s, I was a melted mess after doing this one!Others purchasers have commented on the backdrop that has been used on the dvd. Yes, it’s a bit basic and possibly could have been fancier, but I have found the simplicity has made me concentrate more on Gina and the moves. At the end of the day does it make it easier looking at a smooth floor and fancy surroundings? Not in my opinion. I would rather focus on what I’m supposed to be doing than looking at a collection of flowers in the corner. (Exaggeration I know but still!). I think it’s hard enough just keeping up!This brings me to to the workouts. Gina carries on using her traditional dance that walk exercises. Although she has tried to make it easier for us unfits by having a chorus walk, familiarity helps I have found! It’s easy to follow, I’m no dancer, and yes I have laughed at myself when I have gone the wrong way or done the wrong move. But it’s easy to catch up and get back into the ‘zone’.The music generally seems to use 2 popular tracks with an unfamiliar one in the middle of each 15 minute session. However, in the 00’s I haven’t found this, although it could be the fact I’m in my 50’s and not so familiar with the music of this decade. Either way, it keeps the beat up so you can keep moving. In my opinion though it’s nicer to have something to sing along with, makes the time go faster. And in the 80’s something to take your mind off the fact you are working soooo hard!!!So to conclude I would recommend this dvd. Be aware it’s a power walk, so keeps a fast pace, but It’s a fun way, to do cardio, with a full body workout thrown in. Giving an opportunity to sing along to some powerful tunes whilst making you break a sweat, without it feeling too much like a workout. Thank you Gina!!!

Fun and Effective
I love advanced cardio workouts and I've always done a lot of high impact HIIT, but at 58, my body gets injured more easily now. These DVDs have been really good, my heart rate gets up and I sweat. It's mostly steady state cardio, but there a few intervals here and there, but not the kind that might cause any fear... The set is pricey, but you do get 5 hours total and I suspect the price point is also because of the music licensing - these are recognisable chart hits; they are cover versions and some of them are sped up for the workout, but they're decent and the familiar music does give me a boost. The music is the main differentiator between all 5 workouts - the steps are mostly very similar in each one, and they're all pretty much at the same solid intermediate level. I always do the full 55 minute class - warm up and cool down with three 15 minute cardio 'mixes' - but you can choose to do only one or two of the mixes for a shorter session. I might one day add one mix on to a strength training workout for a short cardio boost. Gina tells us that the full 55 minute workout will add 6000 steps, and according to my cheap fitness tracker, she is correct. Doing one mix would probably add about 2000. Gina is a warm, encouraging trainer and her makeup is spectacular! This set is worth the money for me, and I'm already eyeing up some of her other workouts...

Fantastic, particularly if you want to have fun whilst exercising!
If you like Gina's style and enjoy her free videos, don't hesitate and buy her DVDs! I found her videos during one of the lockdowns and started to be really addicted to them due to Gina's fun way of exercising. It is great to have access to Gina's free videos, but then decided that it would be good to support her by buying her DVDs.It is so nice to be able to select whatever decade you feel like doing at the time (without the adverts) - great choice of music with the usual Gina style (good mood and fun!!!). Anyway when I received the DVDs, I wasn't feeling like doing much on the day, so decided to "just try one of the decades for a few minutes" and I ended doing the full decade! Of course, I couldn't help doing another decade the following day etc..... Fantastic if you want to have fun whilst exercising - and get motivated to do more than what you would otherwise do.I also bought the DVD "Dance that Walk - Body Circuit 2" and I love it too. You can also join Gina's group on Facebook (UpBEat Tribe).Big thank you to Gina and her team for all that they do.

Fun workout that makes you sweat.
Having found Gina B through one of her first workout dvds a couple of years ago after an injury forced me to change how I worked out I became hooked. This dvd is such fun. I am certainly not a very fit 40 year old, and Ive never been able to dance but I love this workout. The different genres cater for all different music tastes as well as providing different workouts. So effectively you have 5 workout dvds for your money. My personal favourites being the 60's and 80's. Gina is such a joy. I find myself dancing along with her to the best of my ability. There are always modifications if you can't do certain moves. If I can't get the moves to start with I just do my own thing until I can catch up. Being broken down into 15 minute workouts is such a good idea. I can do a warm up and one mix and then depending if I feel shattered or not do the other 2 or another. So far I'm usually shattered after the 1. Gina is such a good instructor. Time really does fly when she is cheering you on. Having followed her on instagram and following her youtube workouts too give you such variety. I highly recommend this dvd. Thanks Gina B.

Expensive. Better YouTube videos out there for dance workouts these days.
Got a bit of a sweat on. Walking gets bit boring and repetitive after a while.

SO MUCH FUN!
I blanched at paying $49 for a workout video - I have a dozen already. But I quit my gym at the beginning of the pandemic and I'm still not ready to go back. I had 2 Gina B videos already but as fun as they are I needed some more variety. This turns out to be a bargain - there are 5 discs in the set, each one an almost one-hour workout. I decided to "preview" the 60's workout and ended up doing the whole thing because it was so much fun, even though I had played tennis in the morning. This workout is more strenous than the first two Gina B videos I had - Latin Dance and Dance Walk Circuit. The music is great, 3 songs per segment, and there is more variety in the dance steps. Highly recommend this!

Challenging Cardio Fun
I love the Gina B Dance That Walk workouts and have three of those DVDs. They are fun and at a pace that allows me to sustain a 45-60 minute workout. The changes in music and dance style make the time go really fast. The Power Walk DVD is DIFFERENT. This workout is very fast paced! The music of the decades makes it fun but the songs are way sped up! So be prepared. Each DVD is broken down into a warm up, three 15 minute mixes and a cool down. So you can easily break it up if you only want to do 30 minutes.

Tina B are My favorite dance videos!
Love Gina B’s dance videos! This “ Power walk through the decades.” is the best purchase I ever made. You really get a workout. But Gina keeps it going with easy to follow fun dance steps, great music and very likable instructor! I have all the other Gina B workout CDs. But this one is my favorite. You get 5 CDs . Covering the 60s to 00s. A bargain! I am 76 and am able to keep up. But this one is a little more high intense that her others. But it is the most fun and has the most health benefits. So I love, love!

Best work out dvd's ever
I love Gina B and these dvd's are the best! I love the fact that there are (5) different 55 minute workouts, and I love that I can mix & match each 55 minute workout and make it shorter, if I don't have enough time to do the full 55 minute workout on each dvd. I can choose just a 15 minute workout, or add on a warm up or cool down, or do (2) 15 minute workouts with or without warm up & cool down, or I can do all (3) 15 minute workouts with the warm up and cool down, which equals the 55 minutes. Also, I do at least 6,000 steps with each 55 minute workout, Gina B is very motivating and I love the music! I highly recommend these dvd's!

Powerful and So Much Fun
I love these new DVDs! At less than $10 each they're a real bargain. Each DVD uses music from one decade and it's really neat to dance to some of my all-time favorite songs. Each DVD also offers a menu so that I can choose what works best for me on any given day and easily fit a workout into my schedule. I can do the full 55 minutes that includes a warm-up, three 15-minutes power walks and a cool-down. Or I can do a Mix and Match with the warm-up, one or two power walks of my choosing and a cool-down. The moves are fun and can be done at low or high impact. I've enjoyed Gina's workouts for several years now and this new set is absopositivelutely fabulous. Whether you're looking for something new or you're an established UpBEat Tribe Member, you won't be disappointed. It's always fun to dance with Gina!
