Signs in Contemporary Culture: An Introduction to Semiotics

I was disappointed by this book, perhaps because I was expecting something less sophomoric, and somewhat deeper, I suppose it would be ok as additional reading for semiotics 101, certainly not for graduate or even senior courses on the subject.

It's small and to the point. I actually enjoy this book and it's informative manner that isn't bogged down like many densely packed text books. Easy to read and understand.

great explanations and examples semiotics

Why is the book showing sideways? And the pages are all messed up too. I'm on a Kindle for Macbook Pro Retina and iPad Air Retina. Please look into this and kindly fix it. Otherwise, I'd like to demand a refund.

Each term is adequately conceptualized. Rich in examples of the real life and ilustrations os its applications

Clearly written, humorous, and with copious examples and clarifications of concepts, this book is very good for anyone approaching semiology and wants to understand the basics. It applies semiotic theory to many examples, which is much better than throwing a bunch of terms at you; if you learn best by example, this is a good book for you.
