BLACKHAWK Demonstrator Gun For Glock 17 Orange

I use this mostly for instruction and demonstrations. Have students use this for initial handling practice, form, holstering, and grip technique. I had to file a notch into the rear sight though, so students could also practice sight alignment, as the rear sight was originally solid all the way across.

So I got this to help students learn handgun fundamentals in gun-free classrooms at ranges. This was less than half the price of the industry standard "blue gun" so I thought I'd give it a try.The construction is great and it has a good quality feel, however, THERE ARE NO REAR SIGHTS. They put a front sight post, but for some reason they decided to do one long bar in the rear. If I want to get rear sights on this thing, I'm going to have to literally cut them out myself.

Very close to the real firearm. 4 stars instead of 5 only because the "rear sight" is a block without the notch to look through to line up the front sight. If using for firearm retention and self defense techniques its perfect. But I use it for teaching students to line up the sights, trigger control etc. I filed a notch in mine with a small file and touched up with an emery board and it's now just like the real thing. I'd still recommend, its a great product size and fit are near perfect as you can get.

I use these as a professional firearms instructor and at home for personal training with friends or family. I love the orange color so they can quickly be identified as a training aid vs a real firearm. These are very useful for retention training as well as getting new shooters comfortable with drawing, maneuvering, or otherwise handling a firearm with the peace of mind knowing that it is totally safe. I have used these in a wide variety of holster brands and styles and they function just like the real thing in all of them.

It is what it is, a training aid. Fits in and retains fairly well in my Glock holsters. Little loose but no complaints. It is lighter weight than the blue guns but at the price you can get three of these for the cost of one blue gun. Great for new students learning to estiblish grip, draw and presentation.

Looks and feels good but there is no notch for the rear sight which makes it useless as a training gun since it can't be used for sight alignment or picture alignment.

Fits in my holster but the grip width feels far too narrow/thin for a Glock. I can't complain too much for the price and it'll work for demos, but it's hard to imagine getting the dimensions wrong on such an easy to find handgun

Exactly what I was looking for to use as a red training gun (Glock). No moving parts, just a very nicely detailed and weighted red training gun. Fits in my holsters, just like the real thing. I would buy again.

Very happy with this so far. Wasn’t sure what to expect especially for the price but it has been great. Awesome detail and feel. Very close to the real thing. Been fantastic for dry practice. Fits very well in my Safariland holster. Would very much recommend. Wish they had rifles as well.

It’s good quality and constructed well. The only thing is it’s a lot lighter than the actual firearm, and the rear sight is not slotted like a real Glock that’s the only drawback.

Good replica of a glock 17 hgen 3. You can put accessories on the rail good demonstrator and training pistol.

very accurate to actual G17. Fits all my holsters without any issues. Will allow physical retention training accurately.

Great price. Fits the holster well. Great for practicing.
