Promotes decline in religion / not for us
I am simply sharing this for those who find this important, which I realize is not everyone :) .In the introduction of the book, the character states, under the heading Changing Traditions In Spain, " Another thing that makes my family different is that none of my family are religious. We don't go to church and don't believe in Good. Actually, it's not so uncommon now. One in four people in Spain is non-religious..."It also says this - again just mentioning because it was so weird to find in a book about traveling to Spain: The boy narrating the book throws in, "These days I think people are nicer to strangers. We still have sexism, racism, homophobia, classism... etc. But I think there are fewer wars than there used to be!"Not trying to state an opinion, but again, why is this in a Spain travel book for kids? Not my cup of tea. While this may not bother some, it was upsetting to me, so I thought I would let other parents know in the event that it was upsetting to them as well.It also has wording such as, "It seems to me like these guys were really dumb!," and "Your Birthday - the day it is okay to Hit." Again, may not bother some, but I just think it is superfluous to good learning. Derogatory words toward others are simply unnecessary. The narrating boy's tone was snarky overall. The rest of the content of the book was useful, filled with good facts. It is not for us, though, so I wanted to make others aware.

Informative and colorful pictures / back story very liberal
The information about Spain was very interesting and the pictures are engaging. We are fairly conservative so the back story about the boy narrating wasn’t in line with our beliefs and in my point have nothing to do with learning about Spain. I would have loved to just learn about the country and not have the extra things added

Not accurate
I am from Spain and I was excited to show this to my kids. It is unbelievable inaccurate. Quinceañera is mexican. Multiple names, misspelled.

Rubbish.
I am fully supportive of however people would like to identify. I am a Spaniard and wanted to use this book to talk about our heritage with our 5 year old. Having said that, this has absolutely nothing to do with geography! In the bin it goes 🙄

Nicely illustrated but not a book for kids
my son was shocked reading this book. He is only 8 years old and found so disturbing reading some of the pages. This book shouldnt be titled "Travel for Kids".
