The backplate came away from the hook whilst being fixed to the wall. It worries me that the others are not as strong as I would like. I asked the supplier for comment but did not get a reply.

I'm in the process of renovating our garage at the moment as it's become a dumping ground over the years. We've got garden tools littered all over the place and I was after some storage options as those kind of items especially always end up falling on the floor or getting tripped over. These heavy duty garage hooks solved that issue very well.They come in a few different sizes, with fittings to attach them to your wall. You'll need to provide your own drill bits (some kits I've seen give a free, albeit cheap, drill bit), but otherwise everything is here that you'll need. The hooks are pretty heavy duty, although I've stopped short of hanging too heavy an item on them. I'm certainly not going to hang my lawn roller on it, but most things upto and including most bikes would be fine. The hooks have a moulded plastic cover on them so you can rest your bike frame on them withouth damage, although I do have a specific bike mount for this instead.It's a really good kit, and I'm considering getting another set as I've still got stuff in search of a home on the garage floor.

These hooks have proven themselves to be very useful in the garage, or shed - anywhere you want to keep things off the floor really.They were easy to fit but I used my own fixings as I wasn’t confident the ones supplied were suitable fo my block work walls.I’m using these mainly for garden tools, so nothing exceptionally heavy. I found the product description confusing - in one place it says they can hold up to 25kg, elsewhere is says 77lb, which is closer to 35kg. I have a set of similar hooks from a chain trade counter that can hold up to 60kg each, so really depends how critical that weight limit is for your intended use.

Not as robust as others I've had. They are definitely lighter weight and the plate at the back seems thin compared to others. However they do seem ok so far - I just wouldn't class these quite as heavy duty as previous buys. Still useful nontheless.I hope you found this helpful. Please let me know if you did. 😊

These are far better than the usual "pressed metal" hooks sold at DIY shops which bend and sag as soon as any real weight is put on them. The construction here is much sturdier, and they can take a lot more weight as a result. I've for various metal tools hanging in a shed, and some power tools like a hedge cutter and a strimmer.
