Stowabike 20" Folding City V3 Compact Foldable Bike – 6 Speed Shimano Gears White

After many agonizing hours researching which bike to buy, due to my budget I went with this one. I paid for the Amazon Pro to come put it together and didn't take it out of the box; he said that's the right thing to do :) The bike didn't take long to assemble and the service was 100% worth paying for vs my doing it myself. It was raining for a week went by before I took it out. I needed to adjust the seat and the handlebars a little more, and that is easy to do. I LOVE the way the bike handles! The gears shift easily, the tires ride well, the bike is easy to mount/dismount, the color is gender friendly so anyone can ride with pride, and the price is awesome! There were a few little scratches here and there but they're minor and for less than $200 I couldn't be bothered to return it for such small nicks. Read the fine print - the bike does NOT have a locking clip once folded and it doesn't fold down as compactly as the $600+ bikes do unless you push the seat all the way down and remove the handlebars, but hey, for this price, I'm totally happy! 4 Stars only due to the nicks upon opening but the description is accurate and the ride is great.

I was missing some parts. I cannot finish assembly. A guy from the company told me he would get back to me. One week later, no word. Will update once I hear back.

So I have been using this for a few months, this bicycle isnt working well at all. First it can take hours to assembly, the instruction does not match the model I bought. The header bend easily, I have to put in extra stuff to make it tight. The speed adjustment hard bar get stucked for months now, maybe I need to add oil into it but I never have such experience for other bicycles I had. Lastly, its hella hard to bend it over to fold it. I mean, extremely hard, on the one I received. I suspect if this is a defective product.

The bike arrived very quickly and was well packaged. I opted for not having it assembled and assembled it myself after arrival. complete assembly took about an hour and a half (while watching t.v. at the same time so probably faster if focused on just building it). the only reason this product got 4 stars instead of 5 is because the seat could not be tightened enough to prevent it from going down into the bike when sitting on it. tried for a good 15 minutes of tightening and it still slid down even after partly marring the metal by accident. the final solution that worked was a simple band of electrical tape on the seat post and boom! problem solved. works great and is easy to ride. For anyone concerned about size and weight of rider, i am 6'5" and weigh 250 pounds, it handled me fine and has for the last 2 weeks of constant use.

I bought this bike after my 54 cm bike was stolen just before Xmas 2018 at Caltrain station. The assembly is easy because only a few parts were taken down for the shipment. Since the price is low I guess I should expect a few tradeoff such like: (1) a reflector on the front wheel was broken after the shipment arrived; (2) it is hard to fold the frame into half because the hinge is poorly aligned; (3) the seat holder metal is too soft and worn out immediately (Note: after I adjusted the seat, the teeth on each side of metal plates for preventing the seat from shifting was flatten like tofu because the nuts initially were not screwed tight enough. I remediated it by inserting a piece of rubber in-between two metal plates ); (4) the distance from handle bar to the seat is too short (I'm 5'9'') to be comfortable. I blame myself for having a regular man size bike for too long. Overall the bike is otherwise very good, much worth than its price, and is good for your short commute.

I LOVE this bike! However, I had a bike shop add an 8" extension (at the bottom end) to the handlebars for about $25. I am 5'7" and they seemed short, leaning me forward, but now it is perfect! Highly recommend this bike! It is the only folding bike on the market that has wrap around handles which is what I like the most. Go for it!

Honestly speaking, I think this is quite good among the bikes with a price under $200. This doesn't mean it is perfect. I had to bring it to a local bike shop because the brakes for the rear wheel were not in a perfect position: one of the brake pads got too close to the wheel. But nothing has gone wrong ever since then. At least I can fit it in the trunk of my Audi Q5. And my wife and I can both ride it. And the 6 speed gear systems has been working fine. So 4 stars it is.

This bike has good potential, but the problems associated with it outweigh the benefits. The two main issues are #1 The fenders were bent and misaligned and #2 The chain keeps slipping off when shifting gears , other than that the bike is fine. I fixed the fenders so they align ok, even though they're bent a little, the chain is another issue I have to take it in for service and adjustment. I can't be bothered with returning the bike, packing it up and so on, I'll just bare the cost myself..
