i honestly purchased this with the full expectation that it was going to be a junk gimmick and i'd use it a few times before determining it was a waste of time and money.well, i was wrong.this thing works stupid well.before i purchased this i would usually go 4ish hours with an old pair of contact lenses in before i'd have to change them out for a "fresh" pair. and no, simply pulling them out and rinsing them really well didn't work. at best i'd be able to go another 20 minutes before they'd be clouded up again. i just produce way too much protein in my eyes for contact lenses and cleaners to be terribly user friendly.i now go 12-14 hours with continuous wear and no need to rinse after using this, just as if they were a brand new pair of never worn before lenses. granted, i do use the 5 minute wash every day. i can see the protein scum on the surface of the saline in the sonic basin when i first add the contacts, it's still there at the end of the 2 minute cycle, but the 5 minute cycle sees it gone. i assume it's actually doing as it claims because the saline solution always feels oddly oily afterwards.

The ultrasonic cleans the lenses as advertised. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was because of the basket that the lenses are put in for cleaning. This basket floats in the unit. After the cleaning session, if you remove the basket slightly tilted the lenses float out of the basket into the unit. A few times the lenses floated into the same side of the basket during the cleaning. When this happened the first time I thought I had lost a lens. A closed basket would be great. If you purchase this unit, make sure your lenses are clearly marked so you can identify which is the right or left lens.

Works as advertised. Good quality. 4 stars because it does not magically clean everything. It works, but not amazing. I would recommend it. Note: Don't run it twice. It curled my lenses. My fault though.

I was skeptical but wanted to find a better way to clean my contacts. I was pleasantly surprised after the first use. My contacts looked brand new. I'm very happy with this purchase and I would recommend this for anyone who uses contacts.

Had issues with protein build up on sclera lenses - this is helping. Also helping to decrease secretions from eye while wearing.

I used this on my new silicone Biofinity lenses and it is truly remarkable.Lenses that were gritty became like new!And I've used it a few times since, and always with great results.Highly recommended!

I bought 2 of these. This was for a family friend.

Have had this for a few months and now all it does is make noise and get hot. It no longer creates the ultrasonic waves that it did when I purchased it. contacting the seller is a nightmare. Amazon would be better not allowing them to sell this on their site
