High quality plastic pieces, can be filled with water or sand or a mix of.However a few things to keep in mind:very narrow opening so in case of sand use kiln dried sand otherwise you will have hard time to push it throughno clips, so you will have to think how to keep them together

Bought to weigh down a parasol.Seems well made and sturdy.Chose to fill with sand as opposed to water for weight distribution. Unfortunately parasol is delayed and unable to give a proper review

These weights are designed to hold a large parasol steady in light winds. They can be filled with water (easy) or sand or a combination of both (not so easy). I filled mine with water and that, so far, is doing the job nicely. There are four weights which fit neatly together around the metal parasol base frame (see photos). I had a problem with one of the weights which was leaking from a small hole on the underside. I had not used them straight away so I was well outside the stipulated returns window. However, when I explained the problem to the seller they immediately offered to send a new replacement pack which arrived a few days later and is perfect. The seller resolved my problem with speed and efficiency which just makes for a more satisfying experience.

Arrived on time but could see the box had already been opened and re-sealed. I suspect as a return because when I removed the four segments, one of them had already been bleached by the sun (see image). Also there are no clamps to hold the segments together but there are holes for them to go in on the segments. I will have to manufacture my own but this seems a bit pointless not including them when the holes are there.Overall dissapointed but it does the job.Don't forget to add anti freeze if using water and leaving out over winter.

There are many base weights on the market and some that are much cheaper than these, but it is really worth paying a little bit more for this product. Quality of each base is very high, once filled ( with water) each weight was certainly going to do the job, We have a cantilever umbrella and live in a hilly and remote area of Wales where we get a lot of windy weather, the umbrella has been up for 3 weeks now and the weights have kept the umbrella upright with no movement. A real find and would def recommend. 10 out of 10...

I bought 2 sets of these to weigh down my 2 x 3m cantilever parasols. I thought I'd try with just water first and it was plenty. We didn't use sand at all and we've had some pretty big gusts of wind. I recommend this product. They look fab and they are fit for the job

Arrived quickly quite difficult to fill with sand and a bit expensive for what they are

Despite having a parasol within the weight limit of these weights it’s has fallen twice. After I filled these up with water they felt like they had a combined weight of only 10kg. The parasol has fallen three themes since it was fully build. These weights feel cheap and do not work.
