Djohn Djorgenson makes Django come alive in these lessons
John is the master of Gypsy Jazz style guitar, right down to his ability to mimic Django's fingerings. He makes it look oh so easy, and he teaches in a relaxed style. I don't think there is a better person out there from whom to learn authentic Gypsy Jazz. At the same time, if you're a true beginner, this course of study will be a challenge. It assumes a fair amount of knowledge about music theory, and about the guitar. Even if you're not ready to step right into the lessons, I think you'll still enjoy the book and the DVD ... and it will inspire you to work harder.

This is an excellent intermediate book for learning Gypsy Jazz style guitar, which was originally invented and made famous by Django Reinhardt.Instead of teaching you song after song, this book shows you licks that are patterned after the Man himself for Gypsy Jazz Style Guitar. John Jorgenson's DVD that comes in the book is 2 hours long and steps you through the book.
