I ordered this unit in black and am generally pleased with it. The unit is sturdy enough (though not perfectly square) and fits perfectly in a narrow space behind a door so that I can still open the door fully without obstruction. Here are a few pros and cons:PROS:* Easy to assemble. I was able to assemble it in about fifteen minutes. The instructions say that two people are required to attach it to the wall. I would say two people would be ideal (one person would simply be a spotter), but I think one person can attach it.* It's a pretty good value at about $22.* Good use of wasted corner space behind a door. (See picture.)* Instructions and illustrations are clear. (See picture.)* Allen wrenches, wall anchors, all necessary screws are included.CONS:* When assembled, the unit is not perfectly square as noted in other reviews. This might lead to some installation issues for those whose units are extremely wonky. It seems some people have received lemons. Mine was workable, but it's not entirely flush to one wall in one spot. Even so, I was able to hang it and am fine with it. (See shadow in picture where unit will not lay flush against wall.)* The black plastic screw covers are pretty worthless and may need some additional adhesive to stay put. In addition, they leave little humps on the flat shelf space. You may not want to even bother with them if you don't mind the look of the silver screws.OVERALL:Pros outweigh the cons. For less than $25, I think it's well worth it.

It was easy to install, it came with all necessary parts, I was able to build and install it to my wall all by myself, though it did get a little tricky to build by myself, it came out perfect! Had I had someone to hold it up for me while I built it then it would have been a little easier but it really wasn’t difficult at all. It’s perfect for storing my perfumes and lotions and hygiene products!

I bought this shelf to imitate making a tree in the corner of a room, along with a wall decal, also purchased on Amazon. It worked perfectly for what I needed. I will say, I am only displaying one picture frame on each shelf, I'm not sure how it would be to use the unit for books. The ledges themselves are pretty small, so you would probably only fit more narrow chapter books, or like a baby board book size. The frames on display are 4x6 and 5x7. The 5x7 are a tight fit, and they kind of just lean Rather than using the prop on the back of the frame. I am very happy for what it is. Assembly was fast and easy. I actually put it together myself and am not the handiest person, so it is simple, and my husband hung it. Total time to build and install, less than a half hour, if you discount distractions/finding supplies/breaks/time for arguing/etc. I give 4 stars for durability because I'm not sure how durable it really is. I wouldn't trust putting much weight on it. Over time I want to decorate with something besides the frames, but they're fine for now.

For the price, this is a fantastic product. It is a sturdy particle board product with a nice appearance. While it would be higher quality as real wood, it very clearly stated particle board, so I knew what I was getting already.The instructions stated it required two people and thirty minutes. It took me thirty minutes to assemble and mount it on the wall by myself. While the instructions have few words on them, they are very detailed picture directions, and every item is very clearly labeled, making assembly extremely simple.After assembling it (properly), it is very sturdy. While I would not go as far as putting my weight on it, seeing as how it's not made for that, it was able to be held by a single section without bending, bowing, or otherwise becoming distorted.Now that it is mounted, it looks very nice! It happened to fit almost perfectly in the area I wanted it for, so I'm pretty excited! With the screw covers, while they are very noticeable up-close, they are less noticeable than the screws themselves, and they are not so terrible when a person backs up and looks at it like the normally should.I am now definitely considering purchasing more of these or similar items from how pleased I am with this!

The screws do not hold this thing together very well. Its super floppy while assembled but much better once its on the wall. Had to use my own screws to mount it to the wall. It isnt flush against the wall either.

These things are HEAVY! Not that that's a bad thing, it's just not what I was expecting.It takes a while to put these together, mainly because of the chintzy little hex wrench they give you to put the screws in.The veneer is chipped off several of the boards but it should be easy enough to touch-up with black nail polish.My only real complaint is the little black, plastic screw covers. They don't stay on worth a darn. I had to use a dab of hot glue in the head of each screw to hold them on. They also make it so there are two little bumps up on each shelf. Might've been a good idea to design this so the screws sink below the surface and have caps that push in level with the shelf.Still, for the price, these seem like a great deal. I'll be hanging them tonight!

This product is good. It definitely deserves 4 stars. It's tasteful and simple and the coated wood is better than it might be. The only real drawback is that it's not 5star sturdy. It's a little more delicate then that, and it complicates installation when you have to support multiple platforms while screwing them to a wall. But it's worth the money.

Took a while to put together but my biggest gripes are the instructions and make of the shelves.1) The instructions say you don’t need a drill... YES YOU DO! If you hammer the anchors into the wall, they will break. Please use a drill to make holes in the wall before hammering in the anchors.2) the shelving is not entirely straight so it doesn’t fit flush into the corner. There’s a slight gap behind one side of the shelving because not all the anchoring points reach the wall evenly.
