I was filling in some missing harmonica keys and ran across the East Top STANDARD 008K (blue) model. I purchased 1 of these and was so pleased I ordered 2 more. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, feel and sound of these instruments.I was about to order the last 2 to complete my collection when I noticed the PROFESSIONAL 008L (white) model. I ordered these. They were sent from the factory in China, taking almost 1 month. When I opened the package and tried them out… I couldn't believe how bad these were.I immediately attempted to return these. The company allowed me to print a label… U.S. Mail. I paid about $25/per harmonica, but it would cost over $50 to return these. I don’t consider that a fair return policy, and I am creating this review to warn YOU to reconsider purchasing this product.

I bought this harmonica, hearing that it was one of the best out there if you are on a budget. I was able to get about 10 minutes of total play time out of it before holes 5-10 developed a horrible squeak. An obvious airflow issue. Returned it for a replacement. The replacement arrived in a timely manner, but noticed immediately that it had the same issue. I did my research to make sure it wasn't a mistake I was making, but this is a clear and obvious defect. I live in high altitude, is it possible that altitude plays a factor? I've never heard of such a thing, but I do wonder why I got two bad harmonicas back to back, especially when it has such great reviews! I definitely don't want to jump to the conclusion that they are ALL bad, I think I might have just drawn short sticks and received a couple out of a bad batch. Who knows? I did however like the feel and weight of them! I was quite happy with how they looked when I got them out of the case. Nothing too special about the cases, themselves. But I've decided it's better to spend the extra money on a higher quality harmonica. I think when it comes down to instruments, it's usually better to play it safe. Especially for beginners, a lot of people might think there is a problem with themselves; when it's actually the harmonica. As far as the actual seller goes, I feel it went smoothly overall. Yes, they do like a do a product-for-product exchange the first time, but will in fact issue a refund the second time. In conclusion, East Top does have a good reputation for making decent, cheap harmonicas, but watch which straw you draw when it comes to the Key of F, you might draw a short one!.....Twice :)

I have used (and lost) Hohner and other high end harmonicas and, well, this harmonica is as good as any and better than most. Everything seemed well tuned. I have a long mustache and beard. Cheap harmonicas grab my beard. This harmonica is well built, well fitted, and there is no room for hair. I like the plastic comb. I have used wood comb harmonicas. They are fine until the comb swells from being soaked in saliva. This comb will not suffer that problem. The clear comb looks elegant, and the harmonica feels solid and heavy. I don't bend much, so I can't talk about that.I would recommend this harmonica to anyone, but for beginners, well, you might get this harmonica and never be happy with any other.

I have bad luck woth harmonicas breaking or loosing quality and sometimes it is because of cases with holes in them, basically not a fan of the case for practical reasons but love it for the aesthetic, this harp stays in my house and is the one i pull out to look flashy and sound flashy.

I tried the lucky 13 and was impressed so I purchased this model. Played very well right out of the box, no tweaking needed. I am Impressed. Have played all the 'Good' brands and will count this as one of them now.

Tone is great. It has a bright color to the sound that my other harmonicas don't seem to have. Very pretty instrument. All reeds work excellent, most flawless harmonica in my budget collection right now. My Fender has subtle flats, my Seydel has mucky notes, my Swan takes a lot of air, but this is a joy all the way up and down the register.

this is a wonderful instrument. i bought it for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and after about 3-4 weeks of encouragement she picks it up plays it then makes up a song and plays it again

Just perfect! A week ahead of estimated delivery. Product was 100% what I ordered and anticipated. As for actual product? Freakin great!! This harmonica sings, like a pro grade. I've seen reviews and experienced these harps , and this baby is a quality instrument! Bought from other sellers, with terrible customer service. This seller was prompt, and accurate. And this brand is consistent, quality, in key, great beginner/intermediate/pro harp!!

The colour is really nice. I have dozens of various harmonicas from different Manufacturers but these cannot be better for Value. The build quality is very good, air tightness excellent and playability, out of the box, is better than most. My go to Harp.
