I couldn't put it down
I loved this novel. It kept my interest right up until then final page. I plan on adding more of Gill Paul to my library.

A surprising gem
What a surprising gem this novel turned out to be. Alternating between Jackie Kennedy and Maria Callas’s points of view, this narrative was extraordinarily fascinating. One of the ways I measure the success of a novel is if I find myself looking forward to opening up my Kindle and seeing what’ll happen next. And once I’ve finished, finding myself missing reading about them. This is one of those books, and now that I’ve finished it, I find myself looking forward to seeing what other novels this author has written.

Great Read
Gill Paul makes it clear that the conversations of Jackie and Maria are based on her own imagination and not fact. I was thirteen when JFK was assassinated starting a life long obsession with the Kennedy's. Gil Paul has written what many people like myself guessed was the real reason Jackie married Onassis. It's a wonderful story of two outwardly strong women carving a life around a man whose wealth may buy security, protection, and anything else these women need.Beautifully written, Jackie and Maria brings the social morals of the 50's and 60's to the forefront, showing the obstacles women had to overcome to find peace and happiness.

Fascinating Story
I don't know how to describe my feelings about this story. I have long been interested in Jackie, so I had to read this. I read the nonfiction book about Jackie written by her personal body guard who greatly admired her. Another must read story. Maria Callas being with Mr. Onassis for so long prior to Mes. Kennedy entering his life was not totally news to me. I was a child when all this was happening. Anyway, please read this compassionate story about intertwined lives of these famous people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Well written and interesting
It's been such a long time but I do remember a lot of this. She does a great job of tying these two relationships together with the stated time lines. Of course the intimate parts are fictional but it makes for a read.

Great read
Fiction but lots of fact too. Really enjoyed.

Easy read. Kind of simplistic and kind of trashy.
Book Club discussion. Most members enjoyed the book but all agreed it made for a simplistic read, a book you could zip through on an airplane or on the beach.

scandalous and glamorous page turner
I was intrigued when I read the description of this book and it did not disappoint. I knew nothing about Maria Callas and very little about Jackie Kennedy after the JFK years. The author did well in filling that gap and laid the ground work to be invested in both women’s stories. It proved to be a scandalous and glamorous page turner that kept me on my toes as the women’s lives become intertwined through Onassis. It will be a great summer read for historical fiction lovers as well as Jackie Kennedy enthusiasts.
