(10 Pack) Reusable Revolution Solar Outdoor LED Stair Lights (Stainless Steel)

Ok I know that these are not the orig HOSL brand.I am ok with that.Out of 20 only one had a minor issue with the battery being loose. (easy fix for me but maybe not everyone.)Comes with only the light and basic mounting hardware.No instructions or tips.Beware you must push the button on the back to activate them and if you are in a bright location the light will not come on.So I would take them into a bathroom or somewhere where it is dark to test.press the button and then tap and shake the unit some what vigorously to make sure that it is working ok.I have noticed that some units will dim and some will completely turn off.Just remove the 4 screws on the back and remove the back metal cover then the white plastic cover.You will see a green AAA NimH battery. You might need to take it out and carefully spring out the contacts in thebattery holder. Please note the direction you removed it from.Then replace the battery and put the unit back together and test again.That should do the trick.Also the unit comes with out a template.What I did was to use one side of the box it came in to fashion a template.Also I would put a long screw above the light after you have installed it to keep casual thief's from just lifting it off and walking away with it.With that being said I am pretty impressed with the unit so far.With just the factory charge they ran for 6 hrs.Can't wait until they get a full days charge and see how they look and how long they run.Not a bad deal for $4.60 each.

I've had these on my deck stairs for over a month now and so far am very pleased with them overall. I purchased the 10 pack which worked perfect as I have 10 stairs. Installation was very easy, and due to reading reviews before purchase I was aware to push the on switch before attaching to the stairs. They are made well, in fact sturdier than I would have figured for the price. And they just survived the first thunder storm last night with no issues. The only negative and why the 4 stars is i've had one unit stop lighting after the first 2 weeks and have one or two others that are intermittent. I will be contacting the manufacturer to work on the one unit, but I believe my placement and the amount of sunlight is effecting the others. In general if you have good sunlight hitting them I would say you won't find a better bargain. I will update this when I get an answer on the one unit.

Pros: Looks sleek. Light color is cooler tone than pictured. Adds low-medium light, not overwhelmingly bright. Added (glued/taped) strong magnets to the backside of the light units (we have a metal flashing along the deck guardrail) - now we can easily pull them off and move them around. As stated in prior reviews turn the unit 'on' in the back in order to charge in the sun. We actually leave it 'on' all the time, they charge in the day and automatically light when it gets dark enough.Cons: Like most reviews we had some duds. 2 of 10 lights did not work out of the box. A third light is starting to have issues and flickers. If left outside the screws will rust and if you look inside the unit most of the small metal connectors are rusted too. The stainless steel housing does not rust and is in good condition after being outside. I like the look of them, but I don't know how long they will last.

I will say I didn't have high hopes in this product being great but it did fall less than I expected. The stainless steel housing is marked up a little and not of quality but does the job. I used it for my fence so we could see the boarder at night which works. Thought they would be a little bit brighter so you can see what's under them but they are more fore guidance and not for lighting the ground or security. 3 out of the 10 do not work which 1 turned on but did not charge. In all honesty I would expect a little more quality out of the box for the price. I will be asking for replacements so I will let you know shortly how that goes. I am an honest buyer so I hope my feed back helps in your purchase. I will say that they would be great for stair ways for a little light on the ground but not a lot.

I've had the set of these a little under a couple of years. Of the original 10 I found 8 working units to install. Installation was a breeze, they're attractive and functional. Of the 8 I put into service, 4 are still chugging along after 2 years. Per unit cost is low enough...that combined with the fact that all the mounting screws are in place is causing me to actually go in for another load. I'll simply swap out the units as they fail. Appearance hasn't diminished through lots of rough weather so matching should not be an issue. Upshot: good when they work, buy about 50% more than you need for any given application.

there were three of these that weren't working when I receive them. I had to take the back cover off and mess with the internal workings to get one of them to work. the other ones I haven't found out of they work yet. Where I need them It gets mostly indirect sunlight filtered through a tree. they do produce light in the early evening after the Sun Goes Down, but the battery does not last very long. they're off within about 2 to 4 hours after sunset depending on how much Sun they got. And they don't get very bright because of the lack of direct Sun I'm assuming

My original post stated that some of the lights did not work even after sitting in the sun for a few days so I was bummed but the ones that did work are wonderful and many visitors have complimented on how much they like the lights! Since posting the bummed post the company that manufactures them sent me a courtesy email and is resenting the lights that did not work within 24 hours!!! All I can say is that was totally unexpected and that type of service gets a five star rating! Granted some lights did not work but the company is making good on the purchase!!! Again, WOW! Rarely find this type of service.Regarding the lights, we use them on each of our deck steps and they do a good job of lighting the steps to prevent trips and falls.Hats off to this company and thank you for listening!
