Great Book!
This book is excellent. The problems are well thought out and they all have crystal clear diagrams! They are perfect for me----a 10 kyu.Solutions have clear diagrams helpful and have easy to understand explanations. It is very convenient to have the solutions on the page following the problems. For anyone around 20 kyu or stronger, this book will help you understand the game and contribute to your speedy improvement. This is a great book for Go students!

One of a Kind
There really is very few books on shapes in go. This book does a magnificent job exposing players to different concepts and positions regarding shape. Highly recommended!!! 10 out of 5!

Unreadable nonsense ... hire an editor
Infuriating ... such an important topic for aspiring go players but this was clearly dumped off someone's hard drive notes without ever being proof-read or edited. So many incorrect transpositions of who played the last **** move I have had to literally take out Tippex (liquid paper) to correct mistakes of the form "Black played at 1, placing Black's position at risk, then Black responded to Black's move by playing at 2 ...". It's unreadable, and I'm surprised it wasn't recalled, shredded and re-printed. Bozulich and van Zjeist must be squirming with embarrassment.EDIT: I noticed this book wasn't up to the usual print quality of Ishi Press or Kiseido Publishing (I have maybe 30 books from 20 years ago) and I had put it down to falling standards. The print is a bit rough, the cover is slightly blurry, low-res photo on the front, that sort of thing. Then I noticed inside the back page ... "Printed in Great Britain by Amazon" !!! So it's basically a cheapo British knock-off !!! Well a £25 British knock-off ... welcome to the new crappo UK
