BROKEN, USELESS
1/2 of the set was completely broken, useless. Board was also creased & unusable. 75$ for the full set with board & pieces. Complete waste of money. No care in packaging or quality control. Very disappointed. Good luck, you will need it.

If you're going to spend the money,these are the best plastic pieces you can own.
I own Three sets of these pieces in the 4", Red / White, Black / Ivory, and Black / Natural and they are still as good looking as the day I bought them.The difference between these and the Fisher set is these have " House of Staunton " printed at the base of the Kings, the Bishop's mitre is open rather than slightly closed at the top like the Fisher set and they have a feel and weight to them that I can only describe as quality.I use these pieces when I play in chess clubs, tournaments or coffee shops, they're great for rapid and blitz games as well as longer games.

The best plastic chess set money can buy
These are the most impressive plastic chess pieces I have ever seen. They look beautiful and they are REALLY heavy. If you are looking for a quality, classic, Staunton-style chess set at an accessible price, your search should end here. I bought these pieces through Amazon in December 2008. They look every bit as good today as they did when I first got them.
