This was a fun little kit for my 8 year old son. It was educational as he learned quite a bit as he was going through it. It was pretty easy for him to do himself, but he did have to be careful with it and there are some pieces that can make a bit of a mess. This was cute and safe for him to do independently.

Got this for my detective loving kid. He loved the glasses the most.

I put this kit on my sons' wishlist for Christmas and I was ecstatic when they (meaning I) actually got one. Of course I dove right into it and sat my sons down to experiment with finger prints. I've had plenty of experience as a forensic person when I ran a detective agency when I was 10. So I thought I was going to really impress the boys with my skills. Well, it didn't go so well with the brush that came with it, as I of course already suspected at first glance. The brush isn't soft enough and will damage the print. I'd replace it with a fiberglass brush.

My son loved it. And jacket with hat fit well. He'll go investigating soon!

This kit was such a great gift for my 7 yr old granddaughter. We had so much fun playing with it and the hat and trench coat fit her perfectly. The components were all decent quality and it didn't seem cheap at all. Great value for what you get. Super impressed and will probably buy this again for another granddaughter.

I was super excited to get this for the kids I nanny, but when I received it looks like the box was open and damaged and everything was placed spastically in the box. Everything looked like it was intact and it was fine once you opened it but considering it was a gift I was not happy with the packaging. This was also on back order for awhile so I assumed it was good quality.

This was a surprise gift / Halloween costume for my eight year old and everything was perfect. Same day free delivery. Costume fit perfectly and box was in good condition. Liked the glasses, UV flashlight (worked for us after adding AAA batteries), and really all of the accessories. We knew we needed batteries, iodine, and powder (we have cornstarch at home) so we’ll test that out soon but overall, really pleased with this purchase.
