Oxford: The Last Hurrah (Dafydd Jones)

Limited in content
Disappointing this. I thought it was a proper account of Oxford in its 80’s hey day with some great photos. Well, it has the great photos but little else which makes it a dull and limited read. And irritatingly the captions to the photos are listed at the back of the darn book, which means one constantly has to flick back and forth trying to work out what’s what. Well, I have neither the time nor patience for such faff, so this one is off to the charity shop. As is probably the copy I bought in high anticipation for a friend. Not cheap purchase either. Grrrrrr.

Interesting insight
An attractively produced book effectively a photo essay about Oxford in the 80’s. If you want to see the real Boris Johnson, the party man here are the photographs.
