A must have for a sensory seeker!
This thing is awesome for my sensory seeker! My son is 4 and I bought the preschool size and there is room for him to grow. My seven year old fits in it also, but just barely. He's about 45 inches tall, 60 pounds. It's very durable, which I was concerned about because my 4 year old loves to bite and chew on things, but thing isn't popping! I had been looking for one for a while because in OT catalogs they are all over $100 so when I found one for $65 I jumped on it and I'm so glad I did. This really helps to calm him down before bed. If your child loves to be squeezed and squished like mine does, this is a must have! One thing - it's a little difficult to blow it up with your mouth (although it is possible) so I would suggest getting some kind of pump to blow it up, it doesn't come with one.

we're really happy with this purchase
My son is four and has some sensory processing issues. He is visibly calmed and comforted when he's inside the peapod, which we keep inflated on the firm side. Once in a while he has trouble getting into it and it tips, which can set off a tantrum. I know we could defray that by taking some air out of it, but it's a balancing act with finding the pressure setting that gives him the most comfort. All in all, we're really happy with this purchase.

Broke after very moderate use over the course of 5 months
Just as the headline says, very disappointing. I called Abilitations directly to try and resolve the issue and they emailed me a "how to" guide where I can find the patch kit item number, and then buy a patch kit. Not only was this not helpful because my expectations of having a kit sent to me, but the item number does not lead you anywhere on their website. I would avoid this product based on this interaction alone

Must buy for any child!
I got it for a child that is 4 and has Down syndrome. I feel like it works on core strength! And also has that tight fit for sensory! Don’t regret getting it at all. my 2 years son loves it also! It keeps them busy together! I really love it! So many physical therapy ideas with it! Also if your child is afraid of swinging great starting point, 2 people can hold the sides and swing the child softly!

its quiet in here
I had this for about 3months now. It still has its air in it and the kids sit in it and it doesn't tip over like some people in the reviews are saying. Maybe they blew it up way to much.. but it is just as described. I brought this for my 2 autistic children actually they are sitting in it now with their tablets... therefore its quiet in here...PERFECT😊

Excellent Product... But, Not Well-Manufactured
This product is amazing. I bought it for my nephew who is on the spectrum for Christmas last year and he absolutely loved it... Sat in it the whole time he was opening presents and his mom said that he used it frequently throughout the next few months. Unfortunately, the pod developed a hole that couldn’t be patched and is no longer usable. As most of you reading this know, all children crave consistency... Kids on the spectrum crave this 100fold.For the past four months, I have tried calling the number Amazon had for Abilitations only to find it was no longer in service. I tried the email and it bounced back as undeliverable. I then emailed Anazon’s Warranty Department. That was a week ago and I haven’t received even as much as an acknowledgement that they received my email.I would give this product five stars for meeting the purpose it was created for... But, if it cannot stand up to everyday wear and tear, then I cannot give a better rating than one star... A flat pea pod makes for a very sad little boy.

Do not hesitate, best money spent in quite some time!
This has been an invaluable purchase I'm kicking myself for not buying years ago. My son is 7 and has a chromosomal syndrome, he loves pressure. From body socks to compression vests to weighted blankets. He loves watching movies in here, with his blanky and has fallen asleep in here on more than one occasion. He uses it sideways as a "chair" when it is day and he is full of energy. I will definitely not hesitate to buy the next size up as he grows.

Was not a hit! Was intended for my granddaughter who has autism.
This was intended for my 3 yr old granddaughter who has autism. She is always trying to wrap herself up with blankets and stuff herself into small nooks & crannies so I thought she would love this! Not the case.I'm not exactly sure why. The material was soft to the touch but a lot stiffer than I expected but that's what probably makes it durable. Besides being stiff the bottom does not inflate and has no cushioning to it. I added some pillows and blankets but still none of my grandchildren, with or without sensory issues, cared for it. It's rolled up waiting in closet for another attempt later down the road.
