This is probably my best spinning reel ever owned. I mated it with a 7" Berkley Amp spin rod. I have been using my Daiwa spinning reel I bought from walmart. I paid the same price as this Runcl spinning reel. This Runcl beat my Daiwa by far. I couldn't believe this whole time I been using a below subpar reel until I tried the Runcl 3000 reel. It blew my mind, I didnt expect it was this great of a reel for the price. This Runcl reel first fish caught was a 18 inches halibut and it took it like a champ. It can cast a mile and is far smoother than my daiwa. The bail lock out has no free play and that's exactly what I wanted. I would buy again when I need a smaller size reel for crappie fishing. Highly recommended if you are new to fishing and want a decent spinning reel to start with or just simply want an upgrade to your old spin reel.

I purchased this reel after I had bought another reel of the same brand since I liked it so much. I got the 3000 series so I can use it for a mono setup for panfish and trout fishing. The reel is perfect for me and is just what I wanted, it holds the perfect amount of line, the drag is great and the reel is very light weight. I have yet to catch a trout on it but I will soon! The reel seems very sturdy and I even dropped it on some rocks along the river, I think it will hold up great for what I'm doing with it.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this reel, the Runcl Roraima 3000, she is a pretty one, but means business. Definitely worth more than the 26.95 price tag. I loaded her up with some 6 pound line and took her out to my favorite spot in Surprise, Arizona. The action and casting was smooth. I made over 50 casts without any problems. Unfortunately today it was 110 degrees so not much was biting. I can’t wait to take this reel on vacation in the high country of AZ. That is where she will shine. If this reel broke, I would buy another one in a minute. Thank you Runcl.

Just received this but feels solid, especially for the price ($25 for the 3000 size). We have purchased other brands that are based in China (kastking, piscifun, etc) and this reel seems in line with them. It was smooth right out of the package. Haven't put it to the test yet, but will update this review once we put some hours in.

Well I agree with the other positive reviews. This is an unbeatable reel for the price. The quality seems to be outstanding.I mounted it to a Piscifun Serpent 7' ML rod and loaded it with Piscifun Onyx 10LB braid with a Stren 6LB fluoro leader.The first time out I caught a couple of bass and the reel performed great. It also casts very smoothly. The gear ratio is perfect for most anything you would use this set up for.The one con might be the weight and overall size being more than what I would have liked. But I didn't fish long enough for the weight to come into play really.If you are looking for an inexpensive spinning reel, I really don't see how you can go wrong with this Runcl offering. Happy so far.

I purchased 2 Runcle reels, a 5000 & a 2000...I just spooled the 5000 with 40# lb braid, and put on my Salmon rod...the 2000 I am going to spool with 10# lb braid and use it on a light trout rod with 2# lb leader..I fish a river with lots of snags..the 2# lb leader makes sense...The 2000 reel cast well with no slop...the 5000 reel has a little slop in when the bale is triggered..but so does the name brand reel which probably cost 3 to 4 times as much when I bought it 20 years ago. We will see how the Runcle holds up in salt water boat use...

Great reel. Incredibly smooth and sturdy. Here in the “dog days of summer” the fish aren’t overly aggressive. I haven’t caught many on this reel yet, but I will say I have gotten more than my fair share of casting in. The large spool really lets you get a good quantity of line on, and smooth casting. The large spool aids in long accurate casts. Honestly you won’t find a better reel for the money. Only one slight issue, order a smaller reel than you think you need. The 2000 size was a perfect match for my primary bass rod. It pairs really well with a 7’ medium action rod. I will not hesitate to add another one of these to my arsenal for my next rod. Hands down, money well spent.

I finally got a chance to use my new reel and it works as good as my best penn reel but cost way less.I totally recommend it , very smooth and one of the best anti reverse systems i have encountered. Another bonus is at this price if it gets lost not that big of a deal.
