Great all-inclusive kit for both beginners and experts!
Let me start by saying that I'm a beginner when it comes to hydroponic growing, and this system makes it super easy for novices and experts alike. I did a bunch of research on a few different DWC kits, and settled on this one because it has everything you need to get started at a price that's hard to beat if you were buying the parts individually.Setting the kit up is a breeze. It's an all inclusive kit, so you just need to provide the plants, water, and light (maybe get some rockwool cubes if you're starting from seeds). Simply cut tubes of equal length (or your desired length), hook them up to the air pump and then to the air stones. Then just fill the buckets with water, add stones to the net pot bucket top, and slap it on. All done! The air pump is a bit loud, but not overly annoying. It provides more than enough air for the buckets (I'm currently using four of the buckets in a 2'x4'x5' grow space).Great customer service too! UPS messed up and sent the kit back, so the seller sent a replacement ASAP! Super pleased, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another kit

LOVE my hydroponics system!
This was SUPER easy to set up, the plants are doing UNBELIEVABLY well in a terrible heat wave. I've grown so much basil, parsley, and oregano that I could start my own Italian seasoning brand! Highly recommend this product for the ease of growing! One odd thing, was that it came with a lighter...? My husband explained... no need for the lighter in the set up. ;-)

Good value, easy to use, tips and suggestions
First-timer and did some research before choosing this system. Arrived promptly, easy setup, and already producing results. I started with 2 sets and now have 5 and they're all "hummin'". The pump makes noise but I expected that and there have been no glitches so far - knock on wood. A couple of things I learned that worked for me. 1) I found the aeration is more focused if I feed the hose through the center pillar in the bucket lid versus the side - seems to help the plant and reduce mess of water overflowing the side. 2) I put the pumps up (on top of a 5 gallon bucket) to keep them above the grow buckets and folded some terry cloth under the pump to muffle noise a little. A couple of recommendations - 1) incorporate a transparent strip on the side of the bucket to gauge water height without having to lift the lid. 2) i seem to have either condensation or bubbled water that hit the underside of the lid dripping out of the bucket. The buckets are on plastic but i continue to have to dry water around the outside of the buckets. I wonder if a lip on the underside of the lid-inside the bucket edge might redirect the water back into the bucket? You can send me some free systems if you use that idea. I recommend. Best wishes - Aloha!

Awesome Product
The media could not be loaded. ย This set-up came with everything you need to get started. It is very nice and was packaged nicely. More than enough growing medium, more than enough air-line, and the pump is perfect. I am sure the pump would power more than 6 buckets.

Build your own kit to suit your needs.
I ordered two of these kits, the pumps were so loud and warm that after about two months I stopped using the pumps/air stones and switched to a non-aerated Kratky method. After removing the air stones the res temps were much cooler and the plants grew much more vigorously. The kit is very generous with clay pebbles, and the buckets and net cups are of great quality. I would recommend going to HTG's website and just buying the buckets and net cups without the pump, tube, and air stones. I found no benefit to adding air to the buckets. Even if the air would have given me better results I would be hard pressed to put up with the noise, heat, added electricity and extra effort needed to do a reservoir change with the tubing present. I located the pump in an interior basement room and I could still hear it humming away from outside the house. The ph of the system is also much more stable without the air pump and my plants only need small ph adjustments every few days now instead of once or twice daily. I found some smaller plants do just as well in large mason jars as they do in these buckets, so your mileage will vary with this kit depending on what your goals are. I've tried a variety of plants in this system with success (no air pump) including, peppers, tomatoes, peas, pumpkin, artichoke, green onion and broccoli.

Great customer service.
Okay, so this is a third party seller, and they are on top of their s***. Ups screwed up my first delivery, they quickly sent out a replacement. They products are pretty standard bucket, and netpots and such. Really nice air pump, and hoses. The only improvement would be a hole for the hose. Regardless, buy this with confidence, it's worth the money.

Pump broke in less than 24 hours
I had bought this a couple months ago and finally set it up. It wasn't too hard, and although the pump makes a moderate amount of noise, it didn't bother me. The biggest problem was that the pump stopped working in less than 24 hrs. Tried calling the company but no answer. I will update my review depending on their customer service.
