Perfect for cleaning up pet hair!
This is the perfect hand vacuum for our daily pet hair and other dust we need to vacuum around the house! It's very lightweight, has a good suction power and is easy to handle. The only downside for some people might be the small dirt collector, but for us it works just perfect, you just clean it immediately after each use.

Great suction
Love this little vacuum. I keep it in the kitchen to clean up after the grandkids. I had a B&D dustbuster and the battery died after 2 years. The battery couldn't be replaced. This Hoover has better suction and a replaceable battery that is removed for charging. You can purchase a second battery to keep charged but they are a little expensive. The battery that comes with it lasts quite a while in my uses. The only downside is the small collection container. It's fine for my use but could be a problem if you are vacuuming larger volumes of dirt. I highly recommend this vacuum.

There are no replacement filters available -- don't buy -- waste of money
The vacuum has a three-stage filter -- 1) a perforated metal screen 2) a piece of foam wrapped around 3) a pleated paper filter. The metal screen and foam are washable and come sufficiently clean. The paper filter is also washable but eventually becomes sufficiently clogged that there is insufficient airflow through the vacuum and it shuts down after only a few seconds use. The kicker -- there are NO replacements (Hoover or 3rd party) available for the pleated paper filter. Thus after only a limited amount of use the whole >$100 vacuum becomes useless for want of a bit of filter paper. Ridiculous corporate obsolescence policy completely turns me off of Hoover products.

Worked great for 3yrs.
But now the battery won't hold a charge! Need to buy a replacement battery for this it but they list on Amazon for $104.00!! I can buy another vac for less then that...wth??

Works great if you take care of it
I bought this over a year ago and was unaware of the second filter under the battery for the first 6 months 🥲 as long as I clean the filters it's works wonderfully! Oy problem is pet hair. We have a German shepherd that will quickly clog the filter but cleaning baseboards or small appliances and such it's perfect for. Battery life lasts me several weeks of light use or an hour or so of heavy use (on off frequently)

Powerful Suction Handicapped by Very Poor Design
I bought this to have an easier option for getting pet hair out of the furniture. The upholstery tool is excellent, and the suction is more than powerful enough to do the job. A+! Except... the hair all gets packed around the screen, so you have to empty the dirt cup long before it's full. When you do empty it, you learn that hair gets wrapped around the dirt cup flap and you have to pull it out with your hands. Also, the air filter is very tiny, and gets full of dust pretty quickly. It's not hard to clean (not easy, either), but then it takes hours to dry before you can use it again. I haven't seen that Hoover sells these separately so you could rotate them.Bottom line: It might be fine if you never clean up any hair, but you'd still probably dislike the unnecessarily small dirt cup. Since I have pet hair to clean up, I wish I could return it. Look for a handheld that uses the cyclone tech everyone else uses. Hoover even has it in their full-size vacuums. There's no reason they couldn't design this better. Ya really dropped the ball on this one, Hoover!

Hoover DustChaser
The Hoover DustChaser was just what I needed. I didn't want to spend 100s on a dust buster. I'm a vacuum person so I have many but I needed something to reach small places or pick up little messes. Battery seems good, charges fast, suction is good. It's perfect for us!

Keeps shutting off
It has never worked for me. It keeps shutting down after 1 to 2 seconds. Either its not getting charged properly or there is some other issue. Have raised the issue but response has been unsatisfactory.
