GOLDFADEN MD Brightening Elixir is a clear, colorless, watery liquid that soaks rapidly into my skin. It has a slight fermented-dairy odor to me, but that may be my sensitive nose. I've been using this for several days, and my skin looks good. I've used Goldfaden MD products before (weirdly enough, they tend to smell the same), and while they are pricey, they seem to be fairly conservative with their ingredients.I have had no reaction to this elixir, and I have to admit, my skin looks extremely smooth and more refined than it has in a long time. This product does not moisturize, so don't expect a hydrating effect. It seems to soak in and do its magic well, though. If you can get past the price point, I do recommend trying this. My skin needs less and less makeup lately--I press the tiniest bit of skin veil or foundation into any uneven or red spots in my complexion, and that's about it.

The first time I used it after taking a shower I thought after half an hour that I hadn't put anything on and I ran to put on a moisturizer because my skin felt very tight and I thought I hadn't put anything on, until I remembered that I had already I put this serum on, I continued using the following ones and it left the same feeling on my skin, that's why I give it 3 stars. My skin is combination.

I've been using this serum since September 25th. Two days of patch testing, one on my arm and one on my cheek with no adverse effects. Since then, I've been using it twice a day for 24 days. My skin absorbs it quickly, the fragrance dissipates by the time it dries (it only takes about 2 minutes), and I honestly haven't noticed any negatives or positives since I've been using it.My skin feels soft after it absorbs but I can't say that I've seen any reduction in the two dark spots that I have on my face. I don't expect great results in this amount of time, and I have no reason to stop using it. I suppose the question is will I purchase another bottle after this one is gone? At this point, I'd say I have no reason to not use it for a longer amount of time and see if it does more than just absorb well. I will say it is rather pricey for one fluid oz however if it winds up working, it will be worth it.

I’m nearing 40 and have stepped up my skincare routine to include serums like this one that moisturize my skin and help prevent/repair wrinkles and age spots. I was hoping that this one would work well for me, but after two weeks, I’m underwhelmed. It has been less effective than regular hyaluronic acid serums that are 1/10th of the price. My skin doesn’t seem any brighter or more moisturized, and it isn’t fading any of the sun/age spots I have. I have combination skin and haven’t noticed any breakouts, so that’s good – at least it isn’t making my skin worse. But at this price point (currently $70 for 0.5 oz), I expect some pretty impressive results, and I’m not getting that at all.

This is a clear thin serum. I apply it to clean skin and it is smooth and soft when dried. Very lightweight. It makes my skin look smooth and revived. It layers well under a variety of day creams. No scent that I can detect. It’s just about everything I want in a serum. I love that I can get that impact with such a featherweight serum.

I've been using this 2X a day for 12 days and I can already see a lightening of these spots. This serum is a pleasure to use, it has no scent, it's clear and watery, and soaks in immediately with absolutely no sticky feeling.

GOLDFADEN MD Brightening Elixir is just ok which is disappointing given the high price point of $90/ounce. This thin, clear serum applies easily and absorbs after about two minutes. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin but it also didn't show any noticeable improvement after three weeks of regular use. I like a lot of GOLDFADEN MD products but this one is a miss based on price alone.
