Fantasy Flight Games - Star Wars X-Wing Second Edition: First Order Damage Deck - Miniature Game

I bought this for a friend - by pure luck it was for the correct version of the game, apparently the older models + contents aren't compatible with the newer version of the game.Seems expensive to me for a small plastic model (Star wars or not!), but If you enjoy the core game i'm sure you'll get the use from it.Best feature is the removable front nose, which is also a standalone ship.Would be five star, but the price could be better, licensing fee's clearly pushing the price up!

This is a super starting point for entry into X-wing gaming which is an amazing game. This is the latest version (2nd edition) and has 3 ships in it. This is enough for you to play very basic matches using the escalation system (where one ship is used again when it is defeated). You will need to buy more expansions in order to play a 'normal' version of x-wing but this is a great starting point to play with family or just to try it out and see if you like it.As usual, Fantasy Flight provide great components and the painting on the ships is awesome :)

I was suggested to play this game by a friend in the states. As a Star Wars fan I was interested. I have never really played any table top games so this was a first.Great starter set and value for money. Myself and the partner have played a few games now and Ive begun to buy addons.Be careful this soon becomes an addictive hobby!

fantastic game that is satisfying and tactical.it is a pricey game to get into but this base set is not too bad for 30 quid and honestly you can get so much enjoyment out of just this set.you can play this with more than two players, with each player controlling a ship each.it's not too difficult to learn and has a lot of depth even if you dont buy any other ships.

Good way to get in the game though I feel a extra X wing would have been better for more variety in games out of the box

If you know X-Wing you know what you’re getting. Nice retentive colour scheme to original one. Oh model. Wings to move but are very sticky. Tip: put in freezer for 30 minutes. Then give the wings a gentle wiggle holding onto the back.

Can believe the size of these for the price but it was a gift and what he really wanted and my son in law to be was really pleased, it was his chai gift so for his birthday in January got him some more from the range .

An update of the original game that promises faster play and much else besides. At this time I am getting my head around the differences between this and the original edition. It looks good though.
