Showoff (Swindle)

My kids (7 and 11) have enjoyed all the books in this series (Swindle, Zoo Break, Framed, and Showoff). In fact, my (7 yr.-old) son is obsessed with them, and I have read each of the books out loud at least 3 times, if not more. Thankfully, they are pretty amusing and they are well-written, so I haven't minded reading them over and over. In all the books, a group of quirky, nice kids (in 6th grade for the first couple of books, in 7th for the next two) plan amazing capers, always in the name of righting a wrong. If you like books about heists, capers, and funny kids, these are for you. I'd read them in order for best effect, or at least read Swindle first.

My son is 21 with autism and lives to read, is enjoying this series. He seems to understand the stories. Previously he read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

She loved it

I've read all these books from this series: SWINDLE, ZOO BREAK, FRAMED, AND SHOW OFF! And I'm going to read the rest. I think the kids should've gotten in then out of some major trouble with the police in this book, like the others. And I love dogs. What Griffin, Dimitri, and the team did for Cleo, Luthor, and the Drysdales, was totally heroic. Thank you Gordon Korman, for writing this series!

We love the swindle series. We were missing this one in our collection! Does not disappoint!

My 4th grade daughter needed a semi-difficult book to reach her reading goal (easier books were not worth enough points in her school's system). She reads at a 5th grade level, so she was able to read this book and understand the story without having to stop and ask about vocabulary too much. The entire Swindle series has been a big hit with both my kids, and even held my attention!

My young neighbor introduced me to this series since we have a common love of dog books. The stores are very multi-dimentional, and cover lots of issues faced by kids from school to families to friendships. Issues are presented and resolved in an appropriate and understandable manner. I use these books for my middle and lower level high school tutoring students - they will read these!
