OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES Case & Holster for Apple iPhone XR - Black

This is the SCREENLESS case. Not what we wanted.I figured we would just return. No way, $156 to return to Great Britan via UPS. Kind of takes the ease of return off the table.Nowhere on the description did it say it was the screenless version of the case. Shame on me for not reading others reviews since that is the only place you will see this is the screenless case. Shame on this seller for not making the description clear on which case this is.This is the description others have for the same product. "OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES SCREENLESS EDITION Case for iPhone Xr - Retail Packaging - BLACK". This is the description of the one I purchased "OtterBox (77-59761 Defender Series, Rugged Protection for iPhone XR - Black". Note the lack of Screenless.Not happy at all with this seller. Our users need the screen protection for the environments they work in. No problem with the case other than it doesn't have screen protection. Typical great Otterbox quality.

I forgot my phone on top of my car it fell off at 30mph. As I saw it bounce in the street I knew it was time for a new phone.WRONG The ZAGG screen protector cracked by the phone was undamaged

Solid and reliable yet lightweight

I've been using a Defender case on all my iPhones over the years - from when the iPhone 3 first came out. Love the rugged protection and the belt clip which is so convenient. No need to panic if you drop your phone. Note however that this version doesn't have a built-in screen protector. if you want screen protection you'll need to get the Otterbox Alpha Glass separately (which I did and give that 5 stars too. Thank you Otterbox for making such great products!

I used the defender on my iPhone 6 for like 5 years. Just upgraded to 12 mini and seems the defender has been upgraded just as much as the phone in that time - its super streamlined now, way more airtight and has a nicer grip which no longer attracts dust like the iPhone 6 defender did. I used Sprigen Glass along with this case, the whole thing feels really solid, protected, though getting the case on and off takes a little effort and not something you can quickly do in a rush. Buttons click nicely, feel wholesome. My defender iPhone 6 tabs that lift to expose the ports eventually snapped off, I can see this happening eventually with this case also, but the tabs do feel more sturdy now. Very happy overall.

This is the first time I have bought a case that was not a Griffin case for my phone. I did order a Griffin case initially but it was a terrible fit.This was the next best option and I have really impressed with the case. My only gripe is that it does not come with a screen protector - add one to the spec and this case would be perfect!My OH has the same case for his iPhone 8 and it has been brilliant - he is a builder so needed something rugged and robust to protect his phone on site. This does the job.Definitely recommend!

A robust and hard wearing cover. There is no denying the Otter Box protective cover adds bulk and weight but the significant protection and better grip outweigh those minor considerations. The feeling of security is reassuring.

There are many copies of OtterBox cases but they are no substitute for the real thing. It is larger than most copies and this is reassuring. I have used other cases but they are not robust and the clip often breaks. In the Otterbox the clip is strong and I don't think it will break anytime soon (only time will tell).
