This cable works really well for Oculus Quest 2 Link. This is a great cable at a great price. I have had no trouble linking my Quest to the pc with this. I have tried it using the USB end of the cable plugged int a 3.1 usb port and I was getting 2.8 gb of data coming through. I have also tried using it plugged directly into my gpu a 2080ti via a usb to usbc adapter and Iam getting 3.0 to 3.1 gb of data. This produced better resolution using Link with the pc than did other cables I have tried, which gave me only 1.8 gb to 2.3 gb. I have tried the Official Oculus cable which was not as good as this one.. It is fairly soft and flexible unlike the stiff braided variety which are a hindrance. Very satisfied.

I bought the nylon braided cable for the extra strength it should provide! It is a good sturdy cable a little stiff but to be expected! It would also be nice if the cable was a little thinner but I’m certainly not going to pay the ridiculously high price of the official cable, I thought THIS cable was a little expensive for what it is! Hence the reason for 4 stars. Anyhow, I have one and my son has one as well and they both work excellently with no flaws so far! They are a good length for doing all that you’re likely to get up to on your VR. It comes with a little Velcro tab that can be used to keep the cable wrapped and tidy while not in use and is also used to secure the cable onto the headset itself helping to prevent tugging and pulling on the actual connection hopefully stopping any breakages! If you’re going to get a link cable for the quest then don’t be a mug and spend sky high prices on the official one, come here instead and save a fortune and get yourself a very decent stand-up alternative!

Original Review at the end:Changed review as after having it sitting there for months, I decided to try again and what I hadn't realised is that the USB connection does indeed fit if pushed in with a little more force. It actually clicks into place and sits tightly. Since then, I've used it to play a host of PCVR games and had no issues with the cable.Original Review:The USB C connection end was defective. Would fit in the oculas by holding it, but would simply fall out. Very loose. Was able to get it to hold with the fastener on the cable, but PC didn't detect the oculas. Tested also on my USB C smartphone which too didn't register a connection. No charge indicator.I suspect these are cheaply made and as I see other oculas customers giving positive reviews, I think it's pot luck as to whether you get an acceptable one or not.

This is the second of these cables I purchased the first one I assumed I might have damaged through rough use in VR but this second one I purchased I took care of as if it was a new born baby and it has done exactly the same thing.Any time I plug it in I get maybe 30 seconds to 3 mins of being able to use my quest 2 on my pc then it randomly disconnects me. I have experimented and it isn't just happening while I am moving, I have sat down and held as still as a statue and it still disconnects within that time window.I am not the only one suffering this issue. A friend of mine got the same cable from here. The first one didn't work at all and had to be returned and the second one is now doing the same as mine and randomly disconnects.After my 12 hour night shifts all I wish to do is unwind in a VR game and this cable caused me to go to bed enraged this morning due to it not doing its simple function of connecting to the computer.If you get a quest 2 and wish to play on your PC do yourself a favour and save that little bit extra, get a strong router with 5g and play over air link with a proper charge cable or battery plugged in rather than get this cable. It doesn't even charge the headset properly when you're playing so eventually you have to come off due to the battery running out.

The quality drops a little with this cable. Better to buy the official cable.

I could get the original Oculus cable for $100 or get this one for a fifth of the price. Works great.

The cable only seems to work as a USB 2.0 cable, not as USB3.2 gen1. Whenever I connect it to any of the 4 USB3 ports on my system, Windows will repeatedly detect and lose the device connected behind the cable, and eventually mark the entire device as broken with an Invalid Device Descriptor error. It appears that either my cable is broken, or the advertising isn't correct, and this is a USB2 cable instead of a USB3.2 cable.
