The best thing since Post Toasties!
These scissors are, seriously, the best thing I've ever purchased that I never knew I needed. They are long and light weight and sturdy. They're sharp and they're a snap to take apart to clean. All of these features rank them far above any pair of kitchen shears that I've ever owned.I have plenty of experience in the kitchen but I'm in my 70s now with terribly degraded vision and some arthritis in the base of my right thumb. Needless to say, the scope of my cooking skills has greatly diminished over the last few years. My lack of depth perception and extreme white light sensitivity has made efficient use of kitchen knives all but impossible for me.I bought these shears hoping they would provide a safer and more manageable way for me to do some of the tasks that I was used to doing with knives. The first thing I did with them was spatchcock a 5 1/2 lb chicken. I've never done that before even when my vision was perfect. I roasted it my medium/large toaster oven, removed the meat I wanted to use and put every bit of the rest into my crockpot. Heaven! In truth, it turned out to be the most tender meat and the best tasting broth I have ever made and I give a huge part of the credit to these wonderful scissors.Using these provided me with new ways to use old skills. Skills that have been degrading right along with my vision. They allowed me to cut meat and bone with a top to bottom balance using a tactile sense that a single bladed knife can't provide; they allowed me to use a compact oven to roast something larger than it would otherwise accommodate; they allowed me to easily trim chicken pieces to fit neatly into my crockpot. And, best of all they returned to me some of the confidence in my cooking that my fast failing sight has been rapidly striping away. I can't begin to express how wonderful that feels.I have every faith that I will be finding more an more ways to apply my new tool to tasks that my vision has been making so frustrating. I highly recommend these shears for everyone who cooks; for those who want to learn new cooking skills; and most of all for those who would like to revive old ones.

Best Kitchen Shears outside of Cutco (and MUCH cheaper!)
We use kitchen shears in our house for so many things - everything from cutting up a pizza (so much easier than a knife!) to trimming boneless chicken breasts or lamb. I have owned many brands - and none have topped my mother-in-law's Cutco shears - but with those retailing over $100 they are simply not practical. I have finally found a pair that rivals Cutco - at a fraction of the cost. They are heavy, sturdy and sharp. They come apart (critical for cleaning as I cut raw chicken with them). I do not put my Cutco shears in the dishwasher because I don't want to dull them - but these are so affordable I won't be afraid to toss them in with my other cutlery. The only downside I had was that when I put them together I couldn't get them to close - but I quickly realized if I pushed down on the center point on the opposite side they closed fine. That little glitch is probably unique to my pair - and even at that not worth removing a star. EXCELLENT shears!

Sturdy
I have gone through several different pairs of scissors over the last year.... That being said these are good. Sturdy.

Not as good as Cutco
I love my Cutco kitchen shears, but they are so overpriced that I was hoping to find another pair of kitchen shears that were even half as good as a back-up for when the Cutco shears are in use. I was pleased that these do cut well, even through meat, but I don't like the bottle-opener on the ends. It makes the shears awkward to use. These are about a sixth the price of the Cutco shears and cut about half as well, so they are still a good value. I would have given them five stars but they tried to add too many features to these scissors and most of those features are unnecessary and detract from these being more useful.Pros:Cuts well, even meatCome apart easily for cleaningCons:Bottle opener on the ends make these awkwardToo many "features" that aren't really functional. Wish they'd focused on just being good, high- quality scissors.

Sturdy and sharp
I have another brand of pull apart shears but wanted a heftier pair as my old ones weren't as sharp as they used to be. These shears are heavy, yet light at the same time. The handles fit your hands well and are ambidextrous. The handles also have ever so slightly texturized rubber on the inside of the handles which comes in particularly handy when you are cutting the backbone out of a slippery chicken. The blades are super sharp and very sturdy. They have good heft to them. They cut the backbone out of a chicken easily and cleanly. I love a set of kitchen shears that come apart so they can be cleaned thoroughly. Also, they stay thoroughly together without any danger of coming apart when using them. A very secure set of scissors. You can't go wrong with them. I know that I love them.

Super Nice Food Prep/Utility/Kitchen Shears
These are the best kitchen scissors I've seen since the Cutco Super Shears, and for a fraction of the price. I’ve used them for all sorts of food prep and other random tasks around the kitchen and these were up to each task. Will they cut a penny in half (like the Super Shears will)? No, but they’ll handle any task, within reason. I compared these to the Chef Remi heavy duty kitchen scissors I had and these are so much heavier, larger and better built. The steel is very thick and has some heft to it. They are extremely sharp and seem to be holding their sharpness well, so far. They're super smooth to take apart - the dogbone key hole makes things very nice and secure. While there is a little bit of play if you try to push the blades away from each other (you don't get that with the Super Shears), I don't anticipate it to be an issue. I am very pleased with them and am really glad purchased them.

Well made
Replaced a different make where the handle split. These seem rock solid. They come apart for cleaning and can be put in the dishwasher though we generally don't bother. We don't really use anything other than the actual scissors though, the rest may be a bit gimmicky. However, no complaints as they are well made and a decent price.

Sharp but no tip protector.
I was very impressed with these kitchen scissors upon receipt & so was my fiance, who is a chef (congratulated me on choosing an item of such good quality!!!). The only issue I have is that they do not come with a tip protector, which I thought they would seeing how sharp they are. Apart from that very happy with purchase. Would have got 5 stars if tip protector provided.
