Good thinking but need better design
Return the Pro model 10 minutes after try to put rods on it.Pro: 1. Material feels good; 2. Looks okayCons:1. It doesn't fit low profile baitcaster at all;2. tubes are too big for rod blank, once you put rods in it , it's saggy and shakes, even you secure the bungy cords, the rod rattles inside the tube (the holder);3. the holder doesn't have a bottom to support the whole unit. it needs the rods support themselves with their own butts. don't know about yours, I don't want my G Loomis and St croix rods be treated like that;4. the Pro model can hardly stand still, since the middle tube touches the ground, and the tube is in round shape, you can imagine.5. the handle is not that big and not the comfort, cushion will be needed.Overall, not an ideal product, especially for this price. at this point, I'm afraid a thumb down is my opinion

... reviews you realize a 5 gallon bucket might be better. The product kinda works
If you can get away from the advertisement and you tube reviews you realize a 5 gallon bucket might be better. The product kinda works. But it only works on flat surfaces. The legs are to short, and when used on the rocks the rod tips are held to low so they still get in the way. At least in a 5 gallon buck the rod tips are in the air, and it can be placed anywhere.EDIT: Turning it around is a bit better, but rod butt length really effects the stability of this product.

I can carry 3 surf rods and 3 sand spikes, GetOutTheHouseGoFish!
I'm so glad I purchased the Rod-Runner.I don't have a beach cart and I don't always take the truck to the beach. The Rod-Runner can fit in the back of a small suv, hatchback, etc.It has made it easier for me, no carrying rods and sand spikes under my arm and trying to keep anything from falling in the sand on the way to a spot.

Awesome product
This carrier is perfect. I've tried less expensive ones before getting this one - the kind that clip into place and they scratched the rods and were very flimsy. This carrier is perfect. The legs pop on and off so you can store it without being propped up. no digs, and since the rod holders have some space, the tips aren't getting tangled. I'm ordering a 2nd one. We fit conventional reels and spinners together no issue. - even fit our larger reels. it's great!

This product wouldn't have made anyone's highly recommended product
Not very effective in its configurations for storage or toting equipment around. Not very balanced when set down unless on a fairly level surface. I would not recommend

Meets Expectations, Very Handy to Have!
Regarding any reviews that mention rods with certain reels not fitting: No one can account for every single variation of rod and reel combos and the group you will personally decide to haul on this carrier. With that being said, IT DOES A PRETTY GOOD JOB AT THAT! I have a mixed set up I did as a test: 12 foot surf casting rod, 10 foot surf casting rod, 7 foot bait caster, and two general spinning rods, and I was able to swap the holders around and leverage the elastic bands to accommodate. This thing makes heading to the beach at a moment's notice so much more convenient!

I'd like to see a version made for fresh water
This might be ok for salt water rods, but doesn't work well for fresh water. Casting rod triggers don't seem to fit well in the precut slots, and the bungees seems to land right where the hook keepers are located on my rods. I bought this is use on a friends boat, and when all 5 rods are in place, the rods go every which way. I'd like to see a version made for fresh water, maybe a little smaller. It works a little better for spinning rods. Also has a tendency to tip over when all 5 rods are put in the holder, potentially damaging rods.

Great but one minor problem.
It is a great carrier. Has made my trips a lot easier. Only problem I see with it and why I don't rate it at 5 stars is that three of the tubes, while they will barely work with modern bait cast rods, will not work with older bait cast rods with the dropped reel seat. Only two out of the five tubes will work really well with bait cast rods. The other 3 work best with spinning rods.
