Excellent gloves. Looked enormous when I took them out of packaging but realized that they need to that thick for safety reasons. Ideal for me I am now able to take hot dishes out of oven without burning my hands and arms. Thankyou.

The gloves are heatproof but enormous and I have quite large hands for a woman. Well made though. It's a pity that they don't come in men's and women's sizes.

From a brand known for its 'medical' and disability aids, these "Medipaq® Long Wrist Protect Heatproof Oven Gloves - Hold BURNING hot dishes safely! Heavy Duty Oven Mitts For Professional and Kitchen Use (1x Pair - Orange)" are available also in cream. They are supplied in a single size as a pair and supposedly are large enough to fit a large male hand. Don't believe it; they do not fit the intended user whose hands are broad but not exceptionally large. They were to replace a pair from another brand which were perhaps two sizes smaller.These are claimed to be safe up to a higher than average 350-deg-C which is above the maximum achievable by any domestic or professional oven but that could not be actually tested. However, the gloves are only effective if the heat is dry and not from steam or hot water; any hint of retained moisture in or on the glove will allow heat to penetrate within. Silicone is superior in such situations.Being gloves rather than mitts (the description is wrong), they theoretically allow a range of finger and thumb movements, but not without major restriction, and could be of some help when grabbing pan handles, thin baking dishes and other ovenware; the thick multiple layers of fabric are the cause of limited permitted movement. They may not be suitable for use under the grill where temperatures can be higher. The extended wrist and cuff should prevent burns to the arm from the edges of an oven shelf or grill burner, especially if there is restricted manipulation space; three successive burns within a few weeks to the same arm were the reason for the purchase.Purchasers should be aware that in the event that they do not fit, and they should fit all up to 'medium' size and possibly slightly larger, return is not permitted as Amazon claim them to be 'hazardous material'. That is an odd claim to make when they sell them! Pricing is comparable with others of its type.

This is the second pair I have purchased. I primarily use them in the kitchen and have replaced my old style oven mitts for these. Having burned my arms many times in the past on the hot shelves, having the long arm protection is a godsend.For this second pair I decided to treat my husband as he’s always stealing mine to tend his BBQ. They are super thick. Super flame proof, and help my husband stay safe while spoiling us all with steak.As with any oven gloves, If you’re going to hold a hot pan for a while you will feel the heat after a bit, but for most cooking purposes they are great (work very well for getting heavy cast iron pans out of the hot oven).I love the colour as before I was forever looking for my old oven mitts. I sure don’t have that problem with these bright colourful orange gloves. Although if they are too bright for you, they were available in other colours at the time I ordered.I have recommended these to friends and couldn’t be without them. Great gloves for the money and would recommend buying these.

Very useful when dishes are hot and come out of the oven.

I like the tightness and fit of these gloves and they certainly are very good for holding hot things in your hands, temporarily. They have as much grip as an oven glove does, but I prefer these to (the one section two pocket) oven gloves as they are more dextrous. I usually only use one as my other hand opens the oven door!I've used these outdoors too, for putting pans on and taking them off a grill over an open fire and when taking the lid off a fire bin too. They deflect heat well but again the grip is the same as an oven glove. My hand doesn't sweat or dry out, which is very good, and they can certainly take a lot of heat. Recommended.

Cette paire de gants est parfaite.On retrouve des doigts indépendants les uns des autres ce qui est très pratique pour saisir un plat. La résistance à la chaleur au four est parfaite : aucun sensation de chaud même au bout de longues secondes.Le gros point positif tient dans le fait que les gants sont montants et qu'en fonction de votre taille de bras vous protégerez quasiment vos risques de brulures jusqu'au coude !Et ça c'est top !La taille est approprié à celle d'un homme de taille et corpulence normale (genre 1,80/80 kg) et va également àune femme de corpulence plus légère. La composition des gants (double couche de deux tissus diffférents) confère à l'ensemble une petite rigidité qui donne l'impression de devoir forcer un peu pour les enfiler la première fois ou pour plier les doigts, mais ils prennent assez vite une certaine élasticité sans perdre de leur efficacité.ATTENTION : lavage à la main et à l'eau tiède et séchage sur un radiateur après un essorage classique (dans une serviette légèrement tordue par exemple) et pas de problèmes ensuite (le lavage en machine n'est pas indiqué et je ne compte pas le tester !)Bref, pour une cuisine de tous les jours et la saisie de plats très chauds ou au four, c'est top !Achat le plus pratique de l'année nous concernant !

Der Handschuh ist in zu erwartender Qualität und Güte. Einziger Mangel, es braucht eine GROSSE MÄNNERHAND und genau das ist der Mangel, denn i.d.R. stehen Frauen zumindest zuhause an Herd und Backofen und Männer am Grill. Für den Grill dürfte der Handschuh zu hell sein und für Frauen ist er einfach viel zu groß.
