Love by the Book (Ladies of Summerhill)

I really enjoyed this 3rd in a series book about Newport society,and all that it entails, from memorable characters,well-done descriptions of the town itself,and of course wealth,and power.As I mentioned in other reviews, as a former resident of R.I.,and a very frequent visitor of Newport,Ms. James does a wonderful,and accurate job of bringing that lovely, and historic town to life.Kudos!I can place exactly the spot(s) she is writing about on the pages of this well-written, and charming book.It is an inspiring,sweet tale of love, and conquering life's obstacles. I so hope there are many more Summerhill novels waiting in the wings! Please?! This is a book fitting enough for a young lady,or a much-older matron.It is not going to be off-putting to either age group.Wow.....good, clean,wholesome Godly fiction...Who knew? ;)

Not a boring moment in this book! This is what you are looking for in a book. A marriage of convenience.... The story between Melinda and Nick is very good and the bigger picture is an encouragement for a child of God. Sometimes we don't know why and where to because we only see the now. But know that the best is yet to come. Read the first book in the series and it was fine but not as good as this book. Did not read the second book, may-be later.

One of my favorite books written by this author, and, if I remember right, this is the one that has similarities to Jane Austen's Persuasion.

Nice story

Have read all the Ladies of Summerhill books. I like the historical aspect of the books as well as the Christian approach.

The book was great, kepte wanting to go back and read some more. I would recommend this book to everyone. It is a romance, but not a dirty story.

Good Read! Nice conclusion to the series. Would recommend to others. In fact, I've loaned my set to friends. Will buy this author again.
